watersgta3
Every character has at least some redeeming qualities, even when they're despicable, but there are some characters that has no redeeming qualities at all, and GTA has plenty. Here's my list. Kenji Kasen (GTA 3) Pulaski (GTA SA) Marty J Williams (GTA VCS) Vincenzo (GTA LCS) Ma Cipriani (GTA LCS) Vlad (GTA 4) Name yours. GTA3Claude
Vercetti (same as under) Rascalov (double-crosser and ruthless idividual) Tenpenny (a bent cop who wants control over LS) Pulaski (same as above) Machowski (even though I like him a lot, he's just a bent cop with little to no morals) Diaz (as much paranoid as Salvatore is, except this one is a cocaine user) Edited November 3, 2017 by GTA3Claude

GTA3Claude
He's similar to Rascalov. He kills and betrays people just because he can, without any reason (most of the time). But I will agree that Rascalov is way worse than him, he acts like he was a nice and friendly man, but the truth is : he's twisted. I would like to add Claude to my list. True, he's a petty thug without ambition, he looks badass and seems to be an unstoppable one man army, yet he's obsessed and I'm sure he'd be willing to do anything for money, he doesn't care about what he has to do, as long he knows he'll be paid. Definitely, Claude is not really far behind them. Edited November 3, 2017 by GTA3Claude
TheOneLibertonian
Dimitri Rascalov. For obvious reasons. No other GTA character is as repulsive and is as much of a slanderer as Dimitri did. theGTAking101, The Time Ranger, Cyber_Renaissance and 2 others

Naughtius Maximus
At least a different discussion point, but is this really necessary? Don't get me wrong, I am not busting anyone's balls but GTA is full of slimeball degenerates and I believe that GTA's main theme is far from redemption, as I stated in another topic. So, let me list the most memorable ones even though the list would include almost all GTA characters to date. - Claude: It is hard to assume Claude's exact personality, but it seems that Catalina's betrayal unlocks a lust for revenge but nothing more. He is still that professional yet unethical gun-for-hire who is good with doing anything as far as the money is good. He pledges no allegiance to anybody whatsoever. If so, Claude ranks high in a list of the most professional yet hypocritical criminals in GTA. - Jerry Martinez: The guy is the main antagonist... so this was obvious. Martinez is the most dislikeable antagonist of the series IMO, this makes him a strong antagonist but he has no quality features (good or bad) most of the other antagonists adopt. For example, you can hate Billy Grey's guts but appreciate his manipulative skills or hate Tenpenny but wonder how he holds everyone in leash... these guys are pretty vicious too but you hate them in a sympathetic way but Martinez is a butthole from the first moment you see him, and it becomes pretty clear that he will put you in trouble. Martinez is kind of a less sophisticated and less ballsy Joker who is eager to mess with you but he has no other power than coughing up money to hired guns to do his dirty line of work. - Michael Townley: Redeeming to a little extent maybe, but he is a treacherous piece of crap who built his whole criminal career and later on betraying people and he always seems to justify his bad doings, and regret nothing... well maybe until after the Ending C, he apologizes to Trevor but knowing Michael, I can't be so sure that he is geniune. I wouldn't say he doesn't love his family, but he isn't much of a family man. I mean, yeah his family is far from being relatable and sympathetic but so is Michael. He is also extremely sardonic (yeah, "sarcastic" is a little bit weak to describe Mikey)... despite this is his best feature IMO, a lot of people hate a sardonic/sarcastic know-it-all... Experience talks. - Catalina: Volatile, agressive and unstable, Catalina is the perfect sociopath to take place in this list... plus her loud mouth and obsession with betrayals. - Gonzalez: He is kind of friendly to his employees, that might be his most redeeming quality, but Gonzalez is an opportunist with a big hunger for money, and isn't afraid to give you the boot and outcast you if you are not exactly doing good in his perspective. Also did I mention that he is a trademark traitor? - Dimitri Rascalov: Dimitri starts as one of the kindest-hearted employers of the entire GTA series, but later gets corrupted by power (or he's a tricky bastard that plays around the whole time) and adopts a bad habit of betraying almost everyone who gets into contact with him. Give him time, I'm pretty sure he would double-cross Bulgarin as well. - Brian Jeremy: A huge asskisser and wuss... Plain and simple. - Ashley Butler: A weak willed junkie who really likes disappointing the people who cares about her, and dragging them down the same wrong path she follows. - Tommy Vercetti: I have to agree with GTA3Claude but with a different perspective. However, I do not take Tommy's betrayals into account that much, because the justifiable factors are ambigious. Tommy claims that Sonny set him up to be jailed for 15 years but that's just Tommy talking. For what we know, Sonny could have really given up Tommy but who says that Tommy didn't just go crazy and slaughter those 11 men, or the police arresting him is just an unfortunate coincidence? The Diaz situation, eh... I would give it to GTA3Claude there. Sure, Diaz has crashed the cocaine deal but after he personally meets with Tommy, he becomes quite fond of him. If Tommy stayed loyal to Diaz, he'd be pretty much of a top dog as well. You can say "Oh but Tommy promised Sonny to kill whoever is responsible.", but the justifiable factor is Yes and No. Tommy would have kept his side of the deal to Sonny buy compensating the money and drugs, but what Sonny really wanted to do was something like building a "vassal gang" in Vice City. This means that Tommy would eventually clash with Diaz but also the chance is that he wouldn't. The Diaz situation is actually complicated but basically like this. So, what really actually Tommy a douchebag? His massive ego and that he thinks he's better than everyone else. In that case, Tommy's sardonicism is as pretty much the same level as Michael's, and maybe even more disturbing and lethal. This eventually leads Lance to betray Tommy, and I wouldn't say he is wrong in doing that. Tommy is a lot of things but he is far from honorable and objectively righteous. My point is when you think too hard on it, almost all GTA characters lacks of redeeming qualities. Simple as that, because most of them has really bad characteristic features which would eventually eliminate everything good about it. Like I said, this is just quick-sketch list. Think about it harder, it would be much longer. Cyber_Renaissance
Davao
Steve Haines: Built everything on his career, used his corruption to get to the top. Tried to get Michael, Trevor and Franklin arrested for stuff he set them up to do. I think his own work colleagues hated him too or was that Devin? He was just a dick and had no redeeming qualities what so ever for what he did. Naughtius Maximus and Cyber_Renaissance
Naughtius Maximus
Ray Boccino. He was a greedy f*ck and wanted everything for himself. Sorry for chain-posting, but I missed this. This point of view actually makes sense but I agree with this half-heartedly. The reason why most of the players and all of Ray's associates aren't fond of Ray too much is that he has that snottiness all over him and he's a suck-up b*tthole who tries too hard to climb up the ladder. His business associates liked him only for the sheer amount of money involved (He's a good earner, and he also pays good). Ray treats his employees like an asshole but he is actually eager to pay their efforts back if they are efficient enough e.g. helping Niko find Florian. I'm sure he would give Johnny a fat cut if the latter didn't betray the former. To be honest, John really didn't have a reason for that. I guess he just did it because he always considered Ray an annoying slimeball. Edited November 3, 2017 by Rebel Yell

Algonquin Assassin
I'd have to say Eddie Low. Well mostly because he's a serial killer who's obviously f*cked in the head and deranged. There's no coming back from that besides that fact Niko wastes him anyway. In a strange sort of way I like him though. Never had a character like him in a GTA game before so whilst Niko probably done the world a favour Eddie has a rather twisted charm about him.
