Successful Anti-Troll Tactic

Yepsss, I tested this 3 times with actual Trolls in different ocasions and it always works, so narrowminded they are

 

I'm always building something on GTA, going about my MC drug sales or buying apartments and exchanging vehicles in between them, flying between hangar and Clubhouse, etc, etc

 

But as you all know, trolls always find a way into your constructive gameplay, when you less expect

 

I came up with an great technique for when a troll starts sniping or chasing me on foot

 

Forget cover and shooting, those guys spend whole days training rolling and sniping and runing and rolling and sniping - JUST KA-BOOMMMM THEM - Here is how !!!

 

I respawn once or twice from His magical deadly long shots while I gradualy go for cover, hiding right beside any building corner close to the area where the Troll is

 

Than, instead or running, I just carefully lay one or two proximity mines on the exposed corner side, from where you know the Troll will head fast, looking for you

 

One close to the corner and another a bit further on the side he will aproach, cause sometimes they may have more than one neuron on the brain and aproach the corner not so tight

 

Choose an corner without cars/NPCs

 

I wait there just as if I was panic scared hiding, just for bate, lol, really tight against the wall, watching his map blip getting closer

 

AND KA-BOOOOOOMMMMM - F... SURPRISEEEE

 

I know the troll has probably shot me 2 or 3 times before I manage to pull the trap, but it is the most sweet rewarding revenge because not only you get to kill the bastard as you do it by full surprise, outsmarting hours of his tactical rolling and sniping training down the drain

 

The troll is so confident on tactical superiority, based on you being still and quite far enough and hiding that the blow comes totally unexpected, hurting Him deeply on His pride, by showing how dumb He was and how passively you outsmarted and erased Him of the LS map

 

I than send a voice message saying - Im smarter then He is and laugh loud like crazy, than change session

 

It is the most unexpected and dishonorable way for a Deadmatcher Troll to fade away

 

Surely the best way to enfuryate street Trolls and quite cheap if you compare to bounties and mercs and homming launchers

 

If terrain is not so urban, just lay 3 mines instead of one, also works on hills, use the hill covered slope as a corner He needs to overcome to get to you, is totally worth every single mine penny

I'm a "troll" (tryhard) and this may work a couple times but believe me after one or two the guy will know (unless he's retarded) you'll use the same tactic over and over again. However, just cz I'm sometimes nice, I'll give you a similar tactic that never fails.. The best way to go here it's just to grab an insurgent and make him chase you. If his on a jet you need to play with him between tunnels and buildings to make him crash. After he will probably chase you with a car and this is the moment you need to throw bombs. Also if you go backwards you can shoot and he won't be able to shoot you. And that's basically it.

It's been 4 years and I still can't understand why would anyone care about K/D in this game... Hovering over kill button / going passive just to go for another jet over and over again / all those try hard "tactics" are rly laughable.

edit: when I encounter a troll I usually call a mugger on him. Nothing better then kicking him when his on the ground and then taking his 10k and driving away.

Im usually always on MC tasks, cant go passive

 

We cant desperate on tryhards, is their way of gaming and Rockstar makes the gameplay go like that, why if not it is always showing everyone who is transporting or selling goods ???

 

RockstR is the real enemy !!!

 

I just thought I can show an original and sometuimes effective way to overcome those trolls

 

Yesterday I did it again and the troll still managed to kill me around the corner but he died to, it was great to see me fading wasted and still have time to hear that great explosion and 2 messages separated by half second - X killed Lordloff / Lordloff killed X, felt good, find new session

Lots of people look at the k/d stat. People care about it because its pretty much the only stat you can see and use to judge other players.

A players rank, crew rank and k/d is really all you have to go by.

Many people play games to win so no one wants to see their k/d go down because that means you're losing.

How I deal with trolls. Simply get into a solo public session. There are many ways to get into one either ur on Xbox, ps4 or pc.

You might get trolls and a few wannabe tryhards, but the real suicide/ewo tryhards don't get within close proximity of another player without the interaction menu open.

The moment they hear a beep or their health moves in the slightest, they're killing themselves. I know this because I'm one.

 

I have a good method that works in Free Aim, well it worked on me. Just stay in a Nightshark and attempt to run the Tryhard over. If your nightshark sustains extensive damage, then call MOC and go off radar and repair. Rinse and repeat. Tryhard will just keep killing themselves.

 

Oh, and here's one that works in Auto Aim. Get a friend and get the APC with the Sam Battery on the back. Get near him and he will ewo over and over and over. Works on me so.. Yeah. LOL.

Im talking sbout something on the spur of the moment, all these - get an APC tactics - take forever to pursue, I m talking about getting caornered and killed by a tryhard and pulling out a sweet smart revenge right after

 

I would never waste my precious time on a troll by spending more than 5 minutes arranging stuff for revenge, lol, have much better things to do in LS and like to leave you trolls all alone selpleasuring with your rolls and guns anrolls, lol

I know I'll never be on troll level because every time I start tryharding, someone gets me by doing something like going OTR, killing me from behind then leaving the session. I'm like, so now I'm supposed to do the same to two randoms to make up for that L? It's a never ending game.

The last smile belongs to he who has more kills, unless you're genuinely happy to settle for getting the last kill then running away or going passive. That only lets a troll know that, yes, he did both beat you in combat and force you to flee.

 

Why do you make money in GTA? To purchase nice cars and accomodations, maybe to afford ammo and military equipment/vehicles? One is for showing off to people that typically don't care and will probably blow you up. The other is for skullf*cking people that don't care, and blowing them up first. A player has to ask themself... What is the end goal? To sport an eyesore purple supercar with gold dollar rims that you'll get shot out of, or to be the baddest little pixelated monkey-assed fartknocker you can be? It may be news to some players, but you aren't the good kind of bad when you visualize losing as winning. If you're saving up for a nice APC or a jet, that's fine, but don't expect to be good with it when much of what you've done up to that point is run from conflict.

 

The best thing to do is always be aware of your surroundings so nobody gets that first kill on you. It's like safe sex. Prevention is the first priority.

As a friend of people who grief random players and would occasionally join in the fun, I concur. Going passive and/or running is the easiest way to tell us that we've "won". Especially passive.

 

All that "I don't care", "I don't have time for this non-sense" and "I got ONE kill on you YAAAAY" talk after the fact is basically treated as 120% butthurtery.

 

 

And yes, "don't be a dumb, easy prey who's just asking for it" is the best defense.

To be honest most tryhard PvPers go apesh*t crazy when you just go passive and ignore them... *hurrdurr I beat you*, *go pussive*, etc... Really, I don't care. But it's always the same guys which somehow feel the need to spam the text chat after that... Talk about insecurity hahahaha...

 

Or those geniuses who cry for a sniper battle after you blew them up/mugged/whatevered them. Suddenly they are honorable PvPers who want a "fair" duell.

 

The cancer of GTA really... Luckily I can just laugh those guys off most times.

I agree that a well placed prox mine can deter trolls, but it is a lot more satisfying not dying first.

The best troll defense I can think of is to see things coming and be aware of your surroundings keep looking at the mini map and expanding it, I subconsciously check every few seconds.

I like to know where people are and more importantly if they are heading my way.

If I see a jet I get under cover a balcony, tunnel anywhere that protects you from directly above and get out of my vehicle and be ready with homing missiles and exp sniper.

If it is a land based threat sometimes ill do similar to you except I will have time to get the trap set before dying myself, but sometimes ill just find cover and shoot them (then leave a prox/sticky on there vehicle if It is close by) then continue with my journey.

If it is a armored vehicle and I am in a normal car I will run, unless I can get some altitude on foot get onto a roof or something, if I can get cover above road level then ill have a fighting chance.

If there is 2 people in a passive mode vehicle or appear to be using other exploits or mods I run, if there are modders in a lobby I tend to find a different session asap anyway.

I rarely do the free mode businesses but when I do crate/product/supply collection I want to avoid any contact with other players so I tend to pull out the trusty old hydra I travel to the objective and back at high altitude and use techniques like "high speed vert dive landing" (as I call it) to get the job done as fast as possible in this situation your only real risk are other planes, and they still have to get to your position and altitude.
