Should I sell my cars ?

At start of beginning my GTAO "journey/career" 4 months ago, I dreamed about getting businesses to earn money "legit", to get all of those special vehicles from IE (for fun and vip work), to have a apartment garage full of armored cars, some garage (in desert or more) full of weaponized vehicles, and 3 office garages filled with cars: 1 with cars for races, 1 for looks, 1 with benny custom.

 

 

BUT. After getting almost everything I wanted (there are still things I want of course), I am now wondering: why should I own 3 office garages and 60 cars in it ?

 

Now I have "only" 11 cars in 1 office garage, but... If I ever get to use one, it's always just like the 4-5 of them (racing, just enjoying the driving around in a nice good looking car...) ... I have that Elegy, Elegy Custom that I never use, and probably never will use it again... I have that RE b7 that like... I hate using in free roam, and I am not doing races (if I do races now, it's with friends, so that is GTA type race or just screwing around, or that Transform races, because they are fun) ... And I am just feeling - I have 1.2 million sitting in garage, and I could buy Besra for that money, or even tehnical aqua (maybe it's slow, but it have a gun and can be used in water - so much useful in everyday use of GTA).

 

What is your opinion about selling unusable cars ?

Selling cars to fund new purchases is generally silly and a waste of money, especially if you have garage space left to fill. You're always gonna take a substantial loss and who knows if you might want to drive that car again in the future?

 

At any rate, if you're sure you'll never use these cars again you'd be better off putting the money you get for them into a business and buying stuff like Besras and Blazers with the profits from that.

I've fallen into the trap of buying a vehicle, using it for a while, not using it for longer, selling it... then re-buying it later on.

 

If you're short on cash, sell 'em. But if not, buy a (relatively) cheap 10-car garage for mothballing those that you don't use often.

I never sell a car unless I really need to make room. I have sh*tloads of cars I rarely drive.

Anytime you sell a car you purchased you lose money.

I'm a collector, sitting on 129 vehicles at the moment (garaged that is)...

 

Really hoping the December DLC can pull me back, as this part of GTA never gets old... Reshuffling my babies, paints, wheels etc... Great times.

 

Seen mansions mentioned on here occasionally, along with a beach bum part 2 type update also mentioned... It's possible I've misread though... But if true, I'm hoping for as much garage space as possible... Secretly hoping street races get a renewal too...

 

I hate driving the same car for too long... Except when I raced, and even then, I'd mix up what I used...

 

Unless you really need other things, or the desire is just too strong to not get something else, I'd just keep on adding dude... The December DLC could have uses for them, anythings possible... But take it from a player that has sold his fair share of cars to make room for other things only to find said new item to be either sh*t, or slower than anticipated, among many potential other flaws, it'll cost to sell and change your mind is all, if you're not pushed for space/cash I'd wait for the next DLC to see...

 

Best way to save money is not waste it, you know...

I don't buy useless cars, so I don't have that problem. I made car bonds from legit money, lets say, I've a fetish with T20, hence I filled a garage with T20...i never drive them.

 

I just keep those cars in case another money wipe apocalypse occurs(I'm on PC...).

 

Got a few other land vehicles with the same purpose, several APC, several Itali Custom, still I try to buy vehicles I aesthically/technically appreciate.

 

Just my opinion, don't sell those expensive supersportive you're not using, thats bonds, and in GTA, Its not possible to make bonds with real estates or yacht.

 

1.2 Mio isn't a big deal, source 12 top ranges, play 12 Headhunter, and you're done.

Not knocking it, or anyone as I've seen others with the same thing going on. But never really felt the need to buy 2 of the same car myself...

 

Exceptions being, things hat have a normal and Benny variant... A Nero and Nero Custom, as technically they're different, IMO at least... But I just tweak 'em as I go... My garages have themes of colours and tyres etc. and the variety of shapes and sizes too... I've met many a player that loves a certain car, and they have a garage full of them... I dunno, weird to me a bit, but again, I'm not criticizing, just curious really...

 

Not talking about the 'bonds' cars you store just in case, man, that'd kill me to have to keep insurances around so I got my cash... PC's got some real crap going on at the moment with the wipes and such... I feel for an legit gamer out there as it's either be alone or take risks in public unless you have a team behind you of course.

Not much going on in the water so you're better off with a helicopter or a plane that can land on water imo. And you also have to be two people to be able to drive and use the gun at the same time

Even with all that i have my office full and my clubhouse... maybe 1 or 2 cars in my penthouse. All others are empty. I sell whatever i don't use alot since theres no point imo in having it, I'm not a collector by any means i just buy what i like the look of.

 

I would say if you don't use it, sell it, use that money to buy something you do, or customize something you have more

I sold a lot of crap I don’t drive and I still have a crap ton left.

 

I’m gonna eventually end up selling everything .

 

 

And I only really like 5 trucks in this game anyways.

I really regret buying the garages too...

 

The cars are for racing and showing off w/ friends and I don’t do either of those.

But at the end of the day when I sell everything I’m gonna keep my trucks, the Vagner and Nero.

Im in the Do Not Sell camp. Sellers remorse is a real thing in GTAO. Youre losing a huge amount of online cash by selling current inventory in order to purchase new inventory. Not worth it in the long run especially if you end up disliking the newer inventory.

Well, you can use it for example "hook with cargobob IE mission"... Land CArgobob on land. call that aqua as special vehicle and get to the other side. Adds some variation in the game/mission . Also, if you have a friend, you could do vip work with it. So - much better already than rb e7 sitting in garage, doing nothing.

 

@ All - I sold the cars I didn't like. I hated the fact that they are not spectacularly pretty and awesome, and also, that my friend in his zentorno will always destroyed them in a impromptu race. I kept of course the cars I do like, that maybe are not super fast, but I could call from mechanic and drive it around the city enjoying it.

Noone can tell you how to game man.. you have to decide if you need all those vehicles or just (insert random number here) that you always use, besides in races most ppl play without tuned up vehicles, so it's a waste.

That's not very 'useful' imo but rather something you do to get some variation but I understand what you mean.

Selling is wasting!

I mean you bought the vehicle, because you wanted it for some reason, so you may want to use it again in the future. If you would sell it now (for a lower amount of money), you would have to rebuy it (for full price).

Only sell what's obsolete and not enjoyable, anything else is loss. 1.2 mil can be made in couple of days: source some cars, sell bunker or coke/ meth.

I sell old race cars that have become redundant but otherwise I keep everything. Most of mine can't me made again (paint) so that's why. As for bonds I don't usually keep them, maybe a few.. like 10 million worth.

99% of the properties in GTA are useless. But once there is some sort of cool meetup or car show, you will regret that you sold that vehicle.

 

I sold T20 long time ago and I bought it back with a discount recently.

I don't regret selling RE-7B though.

 

My advice - if at least something in the car look appealing to you, do NOT sell it.

If you bought one because you thought it will be useful or simply because "everyone have it" - sell right away.

I personally like collecting vehicles,I don't sell any unless I need more room in my garages for something new that I like more than something I already have.And having full garages doesn't cost me anything (at least I think so,maybe those daily mechanic bills would be lower if I had fewer vehicle,but they're not too high),so I don't have a reason to sell vehicles even if I don't use them.However,if you don't collect vehicles,and you wanna sell them,then why not,they're your vehicles,you decide what to do with them.

The only cars I'll never sell are the rare npc modified vehicles. Other than that I keep the ones I truly enjoy even if it's not popular or good in races.

I'm a collector too, but i don't collect all of the cars

 

Especially the flagged cars, i don't have ellie, tulip, sugoi, swinger, or kanjo, because it's broken, even though i love them, it's broken with flags, it's like forcing us to suck it up and buy this flawed crap, just like comet retro custom bodykit, i ain't having that too, their loss anyway..

 

Also I only bought 1 of every car, i only have 1 rapid gt classic and so does for the rest of the cars
