Playing with fire

If you're like me and find yourself on fire half the time you play Vice City, you probably know this.  Who wants to put in that health code and panic when you don't do it right? Just jump in the nearest car/bike/truck or whatever.  You stop burning and take off.

OR....the easiest way (i think) to take ANY vehicle from it's rightfull owner is by the flamethrower.  Tanks and Ranchers ain't shiit.   Flame the vehicle right before they get out and they are toast.  Get in....but you still might wanna hit that health code if you get a little nervous!

Don't do the code for a rush though, I love the risk.

I like lighting a bike on fire then riding along, you loose a bit of health but you look like some warped ghost rider for a few seconds. Shame it doesn't last longer, its pretty cool.

I never knew that getting in a car gets rid of fire, I've never got in a car when I've been on fire though.

I get that ghost rider effect to. It really funny.

Setting things on fire in vice is my favourite thing to do. The flamethrower just didn't feel as good as GTA3's, that was dissappointing.

anyway, It is a pain in the ass when you catch on fire, there is more danger of it with molotov's because they are hard to aim.

I didn't know about flaming the tanks just before they got out to kill them. I make sure I don't overuse the health cheat otherwise it gives me a sense of invincibility I have never liked in any game. But i do use it when i'm in a cool police chase to keep my bike from catching fire or somthing.

Just complete the Firetruck missions and you'll be fireproof (like nobedy knew that, but hey). You'll still catch on fire, but won't loose health. Makes that "hellrider" thing repeatable  :) It's also very usefull when doing rampages where molotovs are used.

Btw, I don't really like the flamethrower... not in 3 nor Vice. Ok, it's fun for a few secons or so, but not very good when you're trying to kill officers and blow up vehicles.  :/

Yeah, it's so cool when you've completed the firetruck missions. Tommy looks so funny. He's like, "Ahh, Ooooh, uhhhhaah", heh, and his health isn't going down... I love molotovs so much now... although I never use the flamethrower... it's so cool, but I always seem to forget about it or something... same in GTA3... :sarcasm:

I never liked the flamethrower because it has no range.  It's frikkin awesome in Shoreside Vale, at the hospital, though.

I put about six tanks coming in from the gate on the right hand side(if you're facing the street), so that no law enforcement can get to me.  Then I start spraying the flame through the wall, and I just continually do that, blowing up every kind of vehicle that comes.  This is one of the only instances in the game where you can truly use the top-down view to your advantage.  A lot of fun.
