It should also be noted that anything sold in millions, can hardly be graded as "rare" even though it's still hard to find this one "brand new and sealed", given the date of release, hence the price could go significantly higher. Unknown number of units of this particular edition were sold. I'm not really sure whether there's specific EU version out there or not - just like there's the US version - but this could be close. Now that I think about it, maybe there was no standalone 'jewel case' version as such in Europe, for PC that is. Maybe the " XPLOSIVE " version is the only one that that came without the big box. I have GTA 1 European version (yellow disc) in jewel case with a booklet and I would like to get GTA 2 like that.
