Colonel _Cortez
So i checked the list of best-selling PC games and none of the 3D Era GTA games made it there. GTA 5 only sold 2 million copies. Is it because they get released much later? Or because most of the GTA games get pirated like San Andreas?
CluckinGuy69
Because 3D Era GTA Games contains 2 discs, One is Install Disc and the other were play disc, and LCS and VCS were never port to PC for no reason (Thanks to the modder, we can play LCS and VCS on PC). However, in HD Era GTA games doesn't have Play disc however, in GTA V, contains 7 install disc in the total, while in GTA IV contains 3 install disc. (In 3D era GTA game, modders edit the exe to fix no-play disc and mostly San Andreas 1.00) Or because most of the GTA games get pirated like San Andreas? Yes, most of GTA games were pirated mostly on South-East Asia, India and some country's, because some of player can't buy the original game, instead they buy pirated version of the game and some users can't run the game while the others managed to play the pirated game. (but for me, I got a legit copy of GTA V PC but in German Language package while San Andreas were downgraded from Steam to 1.00 version)
Cahill--EFC
Because Rockstar know you will Hack/Break them.
DOUGL4S1
Because Rockstar's main focus is Consoles. And apparently you are not counting Steam, as more than 8 million people own GTA V there. As for the main 3D era games, over 6.7 million copies were sold. jaljax
Paisan™
Well apparently VCS and LCS weren't released on PC because Rockstar had a deal with Sony, making them PSP and PS2 exclusives. As for the 3D GTAs, more people back in the day had a PS2 than a half-decent PC, therefore more units were sold on console instead of PC. jaljax
Charlottes
My guess is that since consoles get it significantly earlier, anyone who wants it will have already bought the console version by the time the pc version rolls around

Piracy is huge in India,Pakistan,Bangladesh and nearby South Asian Countries. Rarely anyone pays money to buy games like Vice City or San Andreas(I myself is guilty of the fact). We all download for free from torrent. There is also a grey market that sells pc game dvds and also consoles at dirt cheap price. They sell games like GTA V,WWE 2K18,Far Cry,Assassins Creed,Call Of Duty etc at a range of 500-800 INR (eqv. to 10-15$)

Yeah seems he missed out Steam, then again Steam doesn't release official numbers but GTA5 has been pretty much near or in the top ten sales list for a good year or so.
