whitieiii Posted October 20, 2017 Share Posted October 20, 2017 (edited) i've made my choice to go with one of these 3 CPUs and need help finding what one is best? I have an i5-4300M right now and I am using 96-98% cpu usage 100% of the time when running GTA V... what one do you think will work out? I currently get around 35 FPS but my CPU is maxed out.... i'm also looking to go with 12 GB ram soon so won't have any problems as i'm almost maxing my ram but I don't have money right now for 16 GB ram... cpu is more important and more expencive Edited October 20, 2017 by whitieiii Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I honestly don't understand what you mean when you say your desktop would "sit unused". Certainly you game at home, right? I mean, one could game at Starbucks, but that is just as painfully non-ideal as watching a movie on a cellphone. But again...you game at home, right? Look here: 4610M vs 4300M You can do similar comparisons with other CPU's you have suggested above, but results are going to be pretty much the same. The only advantage of i7 vs i5 in your case is streaming capabilities, otherwise it won't make your gaming experience better. And it looks like you have already maxed out your hardware.
