ṼirulenⱦEqừinox
Get well soon, I hope you see really good cardiologist to prevent this for happening in the future. Good on you for having someone in the family know CPR its a priceless skill every house hold should learn. I have a rule in my house, If you're gonna go swimming in the pool you need to... 1. Know how to swim/float on your back and never swim alone 2. You must know at least the basic of CPR My girls think i'm too strict especially when it comes to their friends coming over to use the pool. Too many kids drown because they don't know the simple basic of swimming and keeping yourself afloat and knowing how to give CPR until an adult can come and help them. I am very proud of my 8 year old she is the one who found me first and started CPR until my eldest came in and then they tagged teamed me until someone else got there to help Thanks for all the good vibes ya'll are sending out to me i peripatetic it Edited October 20, 2017 by Ai®aCob®a HeavyDuke and ten-a-penny
chronic lumbago
Glad you're fine, people like you don't deserve to go out so soon. You make it sound like I'll get a heart attack any second. My lifestyle seems to be the bad opposite. Smoker, caffeine drinker, junkfood eater, barely any excercise in my free time nor at work. No kids either. You have amazing daughters, which is only possible with an amazing father. Too many kids drown because they don't know the simple basic of swimming I think that's a more than suitable rule to enforce. I'm an adult, I'm 23 bloody years old and I can't swim/float, I sank in a public pool and started to panic, a friend had to get me I think your swimming rule will be appreciated once when they're older. HeavyDuke
At least you made it man, happends to the best. You can live healthy and get this, while some other chain smoker/fatass do whatever they feel like and grow old without any problem. I hope you get some propper diagnose instead of just some aspirines. ṼirulenⱦEqừinox
Tokasmoka
I had a dream(or nightmare) that was more of an epiphany a couple of years ago. I was eating at my favorite fast food joint when I collapsed, I was on the floor and I could hear sirens approaching, with clerks telling me help was on the way but everything faded to white then I woke up. I haven't touched fast food since(2 years) and lost over 40lbs. That was my wake up call, thank god. OP glad you're ok, unfortunately heart attacks can happen at any age to anyone. Even athletes that are in better shape then I'll ever be get them, so it's not necessary attributed to lifestyle. I guess just make sure you get check ups often, I am going to book a physical with my doctor today and I suggest everyone else do the same if they haven't done so already. boyben
My worst fear is having a heart attack. Can't believe you actually experienced that. I smoke a pack a day, engulfed in stress (having girls is fun, yeah?), don't exercise, and eat like sh*t (along with having to keep a somewhat high sodium diet because of my medication). Maybe I'll take this as a wake up call. I'm glad you're recovering well. RaMMy and ṼirulenⱦEqừinox

Awesome that you have family around that has saved you :-) Please relax your lifestyle, go for a walk more often, etc. Hopefully I will never be in the same situation. highspeed
Hope you're doing better man! Last year, my chest starting hurting to the point where I couldn't sleep. I ignored it, but then a few days afterwards it got worse. Went to the doctors, got an ECG and my heart was pumping strong as ever! Turned out my hayfever, which was horrible last year, caused my chest pain. I was sneezing so much, my chest was over-contracting and causing the chest pains. Weird. RaMMy
Wish I didn't found this thread, it made me go more paranoic about my heart now.... Sorry to hear that happened to you... I have heart palpitations from time to time, sometimes twice per day, I smoke (tobacco and weed [and my heart races when I smoke weed, having panic attacks all the time, it sucks], I drink soda daily and coffee too (2 or 3 cups a day), I might not get to 30, but I won't stop, because, you know, life should be lived without fears (except when I smoke bud.......). Hope you get past that experience and live happy Edited November 9, 2017 by RaMMy ṼirulenⱦEqừinox
Evil empire
Glad to see you seem to be OK but it's frightening. MaryJane is the only ''drug'' I am doing, and I've been smoking for almost 4 years now, maybe that's why . I once tried a pill, called Phillip Klain (or something like that, a yellow pill with a big quantity of MD in them), took one, and snorted 4 lines from another one. The experience sucked, I couldn't feel my legs and arms and I blacked out for around 10 minutes. Edited November 10, 2017 by RaMMy

I for example take no drugs nor alchol, never. You shouldn't have to take it either. Especially not if it causes you to freak out. Don't get me wrong, i'm sure you may be an alright guy and all, but this is just shooting yourself in the foot for what? If you do drugs to get into panic mode, might as well take simple caffeine caps, take 500-1000 mg a day and have fun tripping your ass off all sweating full ADD mode while your hearts pounding out your chest and you are gasping for more air to breath. Then run around the block for instant heart attack. ṼirulenⱦEqừinox
Girish
Holy sh*t, I'm your age and I've experienced mild pain in the chest on random occasions before but I keep ignoring them. thatstupidbug
I had a similar experience, years ago. I have some heart condition since i was born, but this means doctors check me every 4-6 months. Everything was fine. Then, one night I was in my bed. I was awake and i was feeling "strange", but i tought it was something else (i ofteb have trouble sleeping)... and then my heart started racing faster, and faster, and faster, until I woke up with my family around screaming for help. It's beeen a long time, luckily. But the last thing i did before going to sleep, was playing GTA V. Michael outside the MOVIE Studio, thanking the doctor for the wonderful things in his life. Oh, irony XD Edited November 17, 2017 by thatstupidbug ṼirulenⱦEqừinox
Smith John
The prospect of waiting on blood test results to establish whether you may or may not have some form of cancer at the grand old age of 32 can be pretty daunting too. For what it's worth: Anyone reading this post, visit your doc regularly, regardless of your age. ṼirulenⱦEqừinox 1 bash the fash m8s
ṼirulenⱦEqừinox
Wow a month on and ya'll are still talking about this, This is why I like this community I ended up having another episode where i spent a week in the hospital, I started having chest pains so I called my GP and he got me in right away and when they took my vitals my heart rate was 165+ and holding steady so he sent me to the ER and they admitted me into the Cardiac Care Unit where my heart stayed hovering between 140-160 even with medication they were giving me though IV it would only go down for a short time and then would shoot back up. The doctor said if i have another episode like this he is going to send me for a Pacemaker to help regulate my heart rate HeavyDuke

Did you have any reason that could have triggered the episode, such as severe stress, bad sleep, physical stress? One factor they do know for sure is my pain, I got hit by a car a few years ago while working an accident and broke a bunch of stuff so i have a bunch of metal in my body plus had bilateral Knees & Hip replacements and many back surgery so i have sever chronic pain and it's always been known that my BP & BPM would be elevated but we've managed to keep it under control with good pain management and combo heart and BP meds but lately neither are doing their job. I'm hoping it's just a really nasty flareup and will subside in due time.

I know someone who has wrist replaments and knee replacements and also constantly has pains that never go away. Especially in colder peroids of the year. And then there is the constant nerve pain as if nerves are being cut off by pressure of the prosthetics parts. Sometimes the muscles around it tend to flare up as well, getting warm and swell a bit especially if being used more then usual. I hope you'll get better times soon man. Also it may sound a bit dumb at first, but doing forms of meditation to get your heart rate down may work pretty well for pain as well. It won't take pain away, but does help you to zone out a bit without taking buttloads of painkiller drugs which most likely end up making you feel down as sh*t. Yeah I have sever chronic pain that will never go away and as you mention pinched nerves, I also have pinched nerves in my back, My body internal pain blockers are damaged so unlike others my body doesn't have any natural defenses to help with the pain. I am on heavy duty narcotics (Fentanyl 100mcg transdermal patch every 48hr & Roxicodone 15mg 2x Daily) and some days they don't even help and it's a struggle just to get out of bed. Like today was really bad for me my whole body was so stiff it hurt just to walk i had to take baby steps so i spent most of the day in bed and you're right this cold damp weather makes it even worse, I'm lucky that my oldest isn't a holy terror as she does so much for me on days like this does the laundry, cooks, cleans ect without me even having to ask her too. My pain management doctor tried to do a Drug Pump Trial but I have so much scar tissue in my back due to my back surgeries she was unable to thread the needle deep enough to where it needed to go and my insurance won't pay for the drug pump itself without the 3 day trial so as of right now I'm stuck with the drugs i'm on now but she told me that once Ohio medical marijuana system is set up that I will be one of the first people she prescribes it too and hopefully with that i won't need to be on such strong drugs.
