Players hit certain checkpoints to transform into a completely different vehicle class. Not much else to say really. As the title states, what are your thoughts on Transform Races? I really enjoyed the Stuntraces, but I disliked the special vehicle circut - idk how to feel about this now. Spadge Posted October 17, 2017 Share Posted October 17, 2017 I haven't been a fan of stunt races to begin with, something like that doesn't belong in GTA Online, was always my point of view. That said I don't mean that these activites are completely without merit, they're nicely executed, but I always thought they'd belong in a different game. I tried them out and the transform feature puts a nice twist on the already established metagame, something fresh is always appreciated. That said after a couple of wins I'll probably move on to the actual game. It's a gimmick and I can't help thinking that it would have been more productive and more enjoyable and beneficial for players and the game itself if that time would have been invested in working on the actual main game. Guest Posted October 17, 2017 Share Posted October 17, 2017 Only played one race but I'm loving it so far. It's really fun, but the payouts are just laughable. $37k for 5 mins is far from laughable. Even $15k for 5 mins (third place) is on par with other game modes - it's certainly better than pay out for coming third in any adversary mode. Compare it to a capture, they pay $10,000 for a 7.5 minute round for the winner and $5,000 for the loser. Pay is on par with other game modes. Randoms just don't have the custom vehicles, I just won Vinewood Thrills by over a minute, I'm nowhere near that good! I'll farm the wins and cash while it's still a novelty. are we able to play them solo? Yeah you can race and set records solo. I played these in the release week of SR on PC and man are they versitile! IDC much for being able to change to boats or aircraft, but we can race previously unraceable vehicles with it like cop cars but also do multi class racing. For example you wanna do a Coquette festival with BlackFin (Muscle), Classic (Sports Classics)and regular Coquette (Sports)? Place 2 secondary checkpoints away from the circuit to the two other cars and your set! Done this on PC to rally the Retinue and Sultan RS against the sports class rally cars. The latter is only possible if they enabled them in thd creator already. Also with these races I want to check if I have the custom vehicles, I'm not getting into a customs race and being stuck with a stock car.
