What hints would you give yourself in 2013?

Modded money is coming for EVERYONE. So:

 

1) Start a 2nd character ASAP.

2) Focus 100% on races to unlock modifications (thus increasing the value of your vehicles)

3) Adder bonds, Adder bonds, ADDER BONDS.

There's actually very little that I'd give advice/hints to 2013 me. I had a blast and wouldn't change those times for the world. The height of car meets as well as the decline (for me), the time being a legit player to saying "f*ck it" and duping cars (allegedly) to meeting all the cool people over the years. I farmed crates while watching Netflix or listening to music while chatting with friends and despite being a major grind it was some of the best times I've had on GTA. Doing missions was amazing. Instead, I'd rather give tips/hints to 2017 me. A bit of a switch. Here are 4 things I'd like to tell current me.

1. Stop being a lazy whiner and get back into GTA. Yes, you've played it for years but it's still the best game you own.
2. Even though I'm not a fan of my hosting abilities, host car meets again. The bread and butter for all car fans.
3. Selling dupes (allegedly) is fine but try to be legit again, manage your money. Only sell dupes (allegedly) to give yourself a push in this messed up economy.
4. Make it simple again. Stop using the Oppressor or Hydra to get everywhere. Ride with friends. Drive that old Dukes. Fall in love with the Buzzard again.

EWO is fair play.

 

Use passive mode.

 

Switch your settings fps2.

 

Adjust your other settings to improve movement and views.

 

Dont waste your money on PC.

Get out six to eight months after Heists, so yes 2016. Leave on a good note. Staying thru the pandering decline in quality has been a frustrating and saddening experience.

1. Don't buy any Pegasus vehicles aside from the Buzzard and Monster Trucks.

 

2. Don't expect the Lost Slamvan to come with Heists or Bikers.

 

3. When you get those billions of dollars in December, invest in Adder bonds on both characters.

 

4. Start a Twitter account as soon as the game launches, you don't know it now, but your in game photos are gonna be hot sh*t.

I sold about 90% of my cars and downgraded my garages.. to two car garages only

 

I did that to my high end apartment and I don't look back...it's nice not having that crap guy calling about a heist.

But some of them 2 garages are nice looking lol.

Wait until AFTER the ps3 modders feed me billions of cash to transfer my character to ps4.

 

I made the severe mistake of transferring my character to ps4 when i was broke, but continued to play on ps3 because a lot of my friends hadn't upgraded to current gen yet. Then, we encountered modders who made us filthy rich.

 

But on ps4 i had to grind all over again. Sigh.

I actually started out around 2014 to 2015, I think. But here goes:

 

1) Start out as Female. I actually started with Male and probably went several 100's of Rank, before realising Female is more interesting and better Clothing options.

 

2) Never. Ever. Restart Rank or delete character. I would have been around Rank 650 to 700, across God knows how many characters created and deleted. Also, stay on same account than several ones.

 

3) DO NOT bother killing people. PvP is less rewarding than PvE, for me.

 

4) Rank and RP matters more than $ money or currency. Rank 1,000+ compared to low Rank with $100,000,000 with dropped modded money. Which would you prefer?

 

5) Stop focusing on K/D, it's not worth it. I've over 300.000+ K/D Ratio, but I will admit it made me more self aware, dealing with K/D lovers. I would rather have 0.00 K/D instead.

 

6) Armoured Kuruma, period. Other vehicles are not needed.

 

7) Grind Contact Missions like crazy and exclusively, from 90% to 99% of my time.

 

8) Invest time into Double 2x RP and $ Events.

 

9) Try to finish Missions ASAP, and be the one who kills the most in Pegasus Vehicle. More Kills = More 50 RP from them.

 

10) Ignore flying the Valkyrie. I always let someone else Co-Pilot, but missed out on LOADS of Kills. But kind of made me a very good Heli Pilot though.
