What weapon can deal with the interceptor? Help.

Sorry guys, I meant the oppressor...flying motorcycle.

Hey guys, OK I was on a resupply in my duke (armor 60%) and some one on an interceptor missiled me and blew me to pieces and I got out just in time to draw sites using the hand held homing missile launcher

Only for the interceptor to vanish.

What weapon can spank that [email protected]#^@?

If there is not a sufficient weapon to counter it, is there a certain strategy to deal with it?

Thanks!

No Use For A Name

The Hate & Ridicule thread should give you some good ideas. I use an Oppressor, Hydra, and more recently the Starling. I try not to hunt them though cause $20k adds up quick

FL-R2K

This. I've gained a lot more appreciation for that vehicle since seeing how well it deals with them.

It can't be locked on, and the missiles are fast enough that there's just no dodging them.

The Vigiliante will have missiles like this too, I've heard. Though it can be locked on, and only takes one explosive. Other vehicles with them ... I think the anti-air trailer might have them, but I'm not sure.

Fully Loaded Ruiner 2k

Does "Fully Loaded" cancel out insurance costs too?

No, the FL-R2K you need the car I/E, you dont need to upgrade the PV Ruiner 2000, you just start CEO Fully Loaded and use the ceo version

I think so, to upgrade the Vigilante and anti-air trailer anyway. Not sure what form a Vigilante's in when stock. It might have missiles, might not.

Though you don't need to with the Ruiner, like N R G said.

To use the VIP Ruiner you need the ceo office and vehicle warehouse and buy the standard warehouse rocket shooting Ruiner, then the VIP job gets unlocked. You can kill 10, 20, 30 oppressors all day with it, they can't do anything against it. But you can't do a resupply while you are doing the VIP work :), You could have a friend in the job helping you though.

Here is what you do....In your situation you should have bailed from your vehicle as soon as you saw the meme mobile coming. When you get out of your vehicle, they lose lock on capability, but...you can now lock onto them ;)

So equip the highest power fastest firing gun you have & start shooting.

Most of them can't free aim that thing, so you take away their lock on & you make things much harder for them right away.

OP - NO you don't need a bunker and moc, like people above already mentioned. The ruined has nothing to do with the bunker. You can only buy a Ruiner if you own a CEO vehicle warehouse. As you export cars you get the chance to do special vehicle missions, doing the mission for the ruiner will get you a 1.5 million discount on it if I remember right.

Once you own one, go to VIP work in the CEO section of the interaction menu. You will see a mission called, fully loaded. This mission gives you an even tougher Ruiner with unlimited rockets to use. Fully loaded lasts a max of 20mins.

Your standard PV ruiner isn't as well armored & only has 10 missiles. But you can return it to the warehouse, take it out again, and that automatically refills the rockets for free.

Ok, the plan now is to purchase the office then go ceo. Then purchase vehicle warehouse. And you say "standard rocket shooting Ruiner.

Perfect. I cannot wait!!!

I was just in free roam and a jet basically targeted me for a while to the point to where I could not do anything. Spawn killing, etc.

To me those guys are just weak punks. They have no gameplay.

I cannot wait to rocket those nimrods...

PetrolheadSupreme

I'm decimating Oppressors left and right in the Pyro. The plane's speed helps, by the time one missile is even close, I can fire a few at with a pass, turn around and get ready for a second pass from the rear. Especially if I use flares.

Yeah tryhard griefers are the lowest, cheapest, players in GTAO. If I see them going after CEO/MC sales or spawn killing low levels, I get my ruiner or one of my jets & go after them.

The Ruiner missiles are better than the usual homing rocket. Just to be clear, you need to buy the Ruiner, before the game will allow you to access the fully loaded mission. And in case you haven't seen the Ruiner in action, it also has a hydraulic jump, unlimited front facing machine guns, and when you jump you can activate a parachute to glide to safety.

I made a mistake when saying you needed to export the cars, its just sourcing them. Each special vehicle mission needs you to source a certain number of cars before the mission unlocks. And its worth waiting to do the ruiner mission because, like I said, it gives you a hefty discount, even with it the ruiner is still expensive.

When you have the warehouse, search on here. There is a thread with all the info you could ever want on how to run it for maximum profit.

All you need is a Hydra and to start Hostile Takeover as a CEO to cancel out any insurance for 30 minutes.

Thanks you Bro. When I lost that 300k on that fatal Sunday night sales run, I was insane with anger.

I was actually in denial for a few minutes LOL...

But I can laugh at it now, but when it happened there was nothing funny....but i am OK now.

"Fucin" Lesson Learned.

I have a solid direction now, where I was stuck doing site seer for hours at a time....and now I have a recourse when the griefers show up....

Thanks Holmes!!!!

i have a little trick for players who cant be locked on , works very well with the flying bike because of the speed needed to get to the target after the trick is employed , and also anyone who stays in a lobby with someone running fully loaded deserves to die , even happy h now realises the imense power of the fl r2k, despite him posting videos implying a heli can take the ruiner out .

As someone who enjoys the oppressor, the best way to communicate to me to piss off is to exit your vehicle when you see me heading towards you.

When doing work in a populated lobby im sure you know you need your head on a swivel. If you can get out of your vehicle before I achieve lock on, you can shoot me with any assault rifle if I mess up.

The oppressor cant lock onto foot targets, if you get out of your vehicle and stay out till I f*ck off, you are telling me you know my weakness and I should look for targets elsewhere.

Edit: the insurgents and the nightshark, I believe, all take more oppressor rockets to kill than it can carry at one time. I dont even bother going aftet any of those, it just wastes my rockets.

another easy trick when they try and avoid my lock by getting out of the car is to just free aim missile towards the car , usually the explosion is enough to get them too , this trick works well when using the explosive sniper too , cant hit the target just wait for a car to drive close to the target then boooom .

i can fire all 20 missiles and have a fresh bike next to me in less than 10 seconds if im on the ball , most explosive resistant vehicles run to the sewers/train tunnels when i target them with the bike

Oh a helicopter absolutely can take the Ruiner out. I've done it multiple times. Likes this:

A helicopter is not an Oppressor though. It behaves very differently. Like the Oppressor, it can't dodge the Ruiner's missiles. Unlike the Oppressor though, it can stay positioned directly above the Ruiner for a good amount of time - this allows it to cannon the Ruiner to death gradually, like in the video above..

I've never denied its raw power and sharp-turning missiles. Different vehicles may or may not work on others though. While it can beat an Oppressor, it can be beaten by a helicopter.
