Quit fast when Passive is off ?

Hi guys

Im deeply immersed on MC business and Hangar business, so I confess I have no patience for those freeroam fighters that want to engage on deathmatches

Many times I reacted to face them and managed to kill them, witch gives me a great revenge satisfaction, specialy with folks that have a much higher RP than me, but after the revenge I just change lobby - Most times I even go passive, call my Nightshark, head to my apartment and than put a bounty or call the mugger, when I lost precious cargo

Once, at Sonora Desert I had the special pleasure of forcing an pilot to eject and loose it's plane to the grond only by shooting at it with an MG, believe it or not, glorious achievement for me, lol

But sometimes, without looking for a fight, I keep being interrupted and killed and respawning to be killed instantly over and over, no time to roll, no time to call the mugger, to call my vehicle, or even go through the painfull slow menu of finding a new session, they are just to fast on killing you over and over, guess all of us have been there once in a while

Since I don't fancy deathmatches and I never draw first, I prefere to pay the price of loosing the lobby and keep my mental sanity, also avoiding smaching my PS4, by quiting fast

If I get caught still as an MC President the passive mode is disabled, so the only way I found, so far, to instantly avoid that raging situation is to just unplug the playstation power cable and leave those trolls alone to selfpleasure themselves with their own f... guns, lol

So, finally, my question is - Is there a lightning fast way on PS4 to quit fast, even if that means leaving GTA Online ???

Many thanks

Hold down psn button and close application or open character wheel and switch to story mode.

You can also go into your network settings and lower MTU to 700-800 and you will have solo public lobbies to do as you please.

Dude dont pull the power cable, its not safe for your ps4 or your files.

Thanks, I thought about that, just need to learn how to close the application without shutting down the PS4 (recent owner, noob, lol), but I guess you just mentioned the best way to go, cheers

I lnow, but rage does that, I just refuse to be hostage of those plays, but yes, you nailed it with another out of "my box" suggestion, cheers and thanks

Closing the application will only quit the game, not shut off the ps4 so you should be good.

Just hold psn button, menu will pop up and close application will be the first option.

Thanks, I will find out cause when I press PSN it brings PS4 screen with GTA highlighted and pressing X takes me right back, it is just a matter to navigate from there to the close option, I will get that, if I managed to survive Los Santos up to rank 61 as a noob so far, that will be peanuts, lololll

You wanna hold the psn button, not press it. You will get a different screen.

But honestly its just as fast or faster just using the character wheel.

Which ever suits you better I guess.

If you rage because of a video game....you're doing something wrong.

erm .....you can spawn in passive can't you?

At the bottom when you die it says hit A to respawn faster & I think Y to respawn in passive mode. Maybe they changed it and I didn't notice, but next time you get killed, check and see

Call Ron,Gerald or someone else, ask for one contact mission, leave that contact mission invitation there on your phone.

When you face yourself on one of these situations where passive mode isn't a option, join the Contact mission, start it and leave.

You will end on a new session.

You cant spawn in passive if you are in ceo or mc.

OP issue is dealing with trolls while trying to run his mc business.

Not when Im acting as an MC President on a supply mission, either steal or sell

Creative, and works, I GUESS, at least I don't have to reopen GTA all over again, cheers

Oh,i forgot to mention, never tested that during an MC mission anyway, but here it goes.

Call Lester and ask him for the Fleeca heist.

Start it up,leave the Heist.

You will keep getting invitations for that heist until you finish it.

Accepting the invitation from your phone and leaving the lobby will teleport your Character to your apartment, keeping you on the same session and getting you away from danger.

I don't know if you get teleported to your apartment if you are doing a Resupply mission,so be aware it may not work in this situation, but it is usefull to run away if you got a bounty on your head for example,or you are lazy to drive back to Los Santos.

if you have stalkers awaiting outside your apartment, drink pisswaser until you die,you will spawn on the hospital, usually away from your apartment, giving you time to hide from the radar and get a vehicle.

Bad sport points though if you're concerned about that.

Same with the standby mission option listed above.

If on PS4 where solo public is ez anyway just find new session or hold PS button/Start/close app.

Ah I missed that part. I generally listen to podcasts, or work, or watch shows while I read or browse on my tablet, so I sometimes miss things.

In that case, solo public, as others mentioned.

I will do car sales with other players around, if the session seems fairly settled. Driving a supercar on a sale that takes 3-4 mins is a lot safer than trying to 5 stops in a post op van or trashmaster.

Your at a disadvantage during any sale, but post vans and garbage trucks are amongst the biggest sitting ducks in the game. Good luck with it

the J is for Julia

As tommyguns states, van deliveries are a bad idea in full on public sessions, but here are a couple of quick in and out of session methods I use. They won’t require closing GTA.

Using the Creator: Option, R1, thumb down to creator quickly, and spam X. Wait for the creator to load (usually just a few seconds), hit Option, navigate to the online tab, and choose go. You’ll spawn into a new session good as new.

Disconnecting from the internet: Tap the PS button, up on the dpad, hold right on the dpad, hit X when you’re over the settings menu, tap down 3 times on the dpad, and hit X twice. You’ll disconnect from the internet and leave whatever lobby you were in. Tap X again without leaving the network options menu (to check the connect to internet box again), hit the PS button, and go back into GTA. You’ll be booted to singleplayer. Just join GTA Online again.

I know the above sounds like several steps, but they should become second nature (like hitting up, right, up, X, left, up, X calls the mechanic). And more importantly they don’t require shutting down and relaunching GTA. The f*ck if I’ve got time to wait for that.

When the same player kills you 3 times in a row, you can go ghost to him. Then you have 2 minutes where he can´t kill you without passive bailing.

Perhaps a noob question, but; how does one do this to one specific aggressor?

In a "WASTED" menu

Answering the original question - always keep the active heist and join the latest setup via Lester invite (check Jobs on your phone). Then back off from the heist desk.

You are in your own appartment.

I strongly advise to use Ghost Organization before doing this. This will confuse the attacker.

The Character wheel is by far the fastest, just hold down pad and push right stick up and drop it all,, your all set

Best option is to have your own heist final setup invite from Lester.

When you're in a situation like this you can just accept it and then you can back out. After you'll spawn in your apartment. Many alternative options available, call Lester again go off radar or ghost organization.
