Armored cars - LE or LWB ?

I want to own Baller Armored version and V12.

I have duke, insurigent, kuruma, nightshark. Those two are just for "collection", and sometimes to be used for... something fresh in the game to drive, but armored.

Should I go for LE ("regular") or LWB ?

And why ?

The differences are that with LWB you can call the unmodified version via CEO vehicles menu. Handling and speed are almost (if not literally) the same for Baller LE and LWB. Schafter, get V12 armored and skip LWB, it's much slower.

Save the money for Turreted Limo instead.

It has the acceleration, armor and response time to be the getaway vehicle you may need if you get stranded on the ground. Also it doesn't cost you anything to call it when you purchased it.

The Ballers will still cost you money to call from CEO list even if you bought it.

Also, they are sluggish and heavy and you're probably get shredded before you even gain speed, because armored glass is a joke.

I agree, the Stretch E is better.

The long wheelbase versions are all noticeably slower. So I wouldn't get, say, the Schafter LWB as that negates the main benefit of the Schafter V12, speed.

Though the long Cognoscenti looks better than the short version.

55 looks better. ;)

Anyway, I thought the Schafter LWB was so much slower than the V12 because it has a V8 or so? I never drove an LWB.

Baller is free to spawn if you own a correct version and the correct version is LWB.

Schafter LWB is slower than V12, but it's a different car, not worse. More smooth, more relaxed and stable with a bit of understeer that can be compensated with handbrake. If you like Schafters, it's not too expensive to add to your collection.

Turreted limo... Well, it's kind of different story completely so allow me to present my understanding of how it works. Schafters V12 are good all-around cars, armoured version provides just enough protection and speed to actually get away from your attackers, not to attack or fight back. It's more of "Shake em" kind of car. In right hands it's extremely fast and it can definitely outrun Insurgents/ Nightsharks. Drag coefficient on this thing is insane, try it in the hills. The closest alternative is Nightshark, but it's slower and designed to sustain explosives, not small arms. Want to drive around fast in auto aim lobbies? Go for V12 armored. Are there Oppressors around or some genius have started Fully loaded? Get your Shark and shoot the bastard out of his runier.

So, to sum it up considering armored cars:

Schafters V12: drive fast and evade the pursuers;

Nightshark: Ruiner repellent, anti-jet vehicle without special radar blip (!);

Insurgent (regular): mostly obsolete, but more protected from the back than Pick-up/ custom;

Insurgent Pick-up custom: unlimited proximity mines and neat machine gun, use it to attack ground targets, use it in Heists/ Missions, surprise pursuers with a proxy mines, get off-road.

Theoretically, APC should be here too, so do the only thing in it that is exclusive: SWIM! Use it in Piracy prevention or swim in missions for the lulz.

Disclaimer: beware of FMJ rounds and auto-aim lobbies. These bad boys will open up Kuruma like a can.

IMHO, the LWB version of the Schafter has much better balance. The regular wheelbase version is tail-happy; the LWB version is a lot less slippery thanks to it's elongated wheelbase.

The Baller and both Cognescentis, on the other hand, feel sluggish.
