Sneakerheads of GTA Online

Ok so if you don't care much for basketball or sneakers like Nikes, Jordans, etc in real life maybe you might not get this thread as much but read on and see

 

In GTA Online if you go to any clothes store under shoes you'll find sneakers and if you go and scroll down in sneakers past the walmart brand hi tops you'll see some fire shoes that are called by Hi-Top Sneakers

 

They are called different names by different design and I actually think they are all really cool. I've made some special outfits designed around what the shoe looks like similar to how people treat Jordan sneakers in real life and what I want this thread to be is...

 

First off what is your favorite sneaker out of the "Hi-Top Sneakers"

 

Also show some outfits if you think yours looks cool with one of these pairs of kicks (I'd show mine but I don't know how to post pictures on here anymore)

 

Do you think we should get more of these sneakers?

The Louboutins that the male characters get are fire, and the Adidas Superstars and Air Force Ones.

 

Female characters have way less, it's wack as hell.

 

I hope we get more streetwear oriented footwear in the future, like Saucony, Reebok (Instapump pls), Yeezy (Nike and Adidas), Jordans etc.

Yeah it's kind of lame how I/E added a bunch of streetwear esque clothes (that everyone seemed to hate apparently) but only added one recoloured version of the sneakers that have been in the game for a while. Which was actually pretty good but I'd like to have seen more.

The clothes were awesome imo, I never expected names like Stussy, BAPE, Supreme and Stone Island (well R*'s take on them) to make it into the game.

 

I hope we get more styles of footwear in future updates and not just more colors though.

i think being a sneaker head also has to do with the fact that not many people has access to the Limited stock J's, LB's,Kobes, Roshe's etc.

 

so like anybody has constant access to new shoes so whats the point

When i decide to not have myself running around in my underwear i'm quite a fan of all that hypebeast stuff, so all the louis vuitton, supreme, yeezy type stuff is a go to for me. The Jordans make great additions.

I agree with all of that, but you can keep those ugly ass Yeezies.

Nah man, those "Jordans" look like hot sh*t. Yeah they remind me of the 2s, but the shoe strings, and the color ways look horrible. Only ones I f*ck with are the black and yellow ones, cause they match that Dense sweater. Other than that. Rockstar need to up their shoe game.

Yeeeeeeeeah. I was a little salty about the sneakers that are specific to male characters. I've never had a male character, so I don't get to see them very often. But I've seen some on other players that look cool (at a glance, at least). I could swear that I saw some that looked like GTA's take on the AJ IX's. I quit wearing J's years ago, but I'd still mess with them in-game.

 

On the other hand, with the exception of the runners, the sneakers that the female characters get are raw, hot garbage.

Balagueurs is based in Vetements, I would like to see more YETI (BAPE) clothes... maybe a YETI camo hoodie

Some of the Yeezys aren't bad imo, the Nike ones and the 950s boots, and the Runners are cool.

 

And which shoes, the ones we got more colors for with I/E? If so, yeah they're kiiiiiiinda trash. I wish we'd get some Jordan 1s, 3s, 4s, 5s, 6s, 7s. 8s and 11s. I love those.

 

Agreed on those black and yellow Air Max 90s, the leopard(?) print ones we got are dope.

For female characters, there are several black/yellow running shoes that bear a striking resemblance to Nike Air Max 90s/180s.

The high tops, specifically, are hella, hella generic. I mean, they work, but they look like old Filas, or knockoff AF1s or something.AF1's yeah, mostly why I like them. I used to have a pair. The White/Red/Black ones are almost like the Nike Dunk's, pretty much identical other than the logo.

 

Can tell the main inspiration of these shoes are Nike tbh(High-Tops), they use same colour schemes..more or less.

 

Just wish there was a pair like my previous kicks. Black/Grey with a white sole.

I agree.I love classic Chuck Taylors and have them IRL,I'd also like to see them in GTA Online,but for some reason male characters can either get full black ones or in different colors (blue, red, green, yellow, orange, white, I think there's even pink),but not black with white tip, sole and laces.

Does anyone have a good rundown on all of the different clothing brands that are parodied in GTA Online? I feel like I do alright identifying which real life brands are being spoofed when it comes to things like car manufacturers, restaurants, tech companies, etc. but a lot of designer clothing brands seem to escape me being that I'm not too knowledgeable on fashion labels.

 

Examples:

 

Eris = Nike

Heat = Adidas

Ranch = Levi's

Le Chien = Chanel

Sessanta Nove = Louis Vuitton
