Finding a session empty enough!

So yeah, well done R*. It's great and all that you want to force players into sessions with the sociopathic community that is GTA in a deliberate attempt to troll the hell out of everyone. Good show, and I do understand why you do it. However, can you relax these rules just a little please? I don't want to have to join a session everytime where the entire city is like ****ing Fallujah. Also it's annoying when I'm trying to start my CEO, but I can't because the session already has too many other CEOs / MCs.

 

Anyone got any tips on reliably joining a low population session? I've looked at videos but th majority of methods require an additional friend or fiddling with the modem which I'm not keen on doing.

If you are on PS4, lower your PS4 MTU settings to around 700. You'll get a solo public session and people won't be able to randomly join.

This sounds like an awesome tactic! But I'm on Xbox One sadly I wonder if there is a similar tactic?

Jeez you're a bit snappy aren't ya? I didn't say I wasn't keen on lowering settings. I meant I'm not keen on pulling out cables etc like some guides suggest.

OOO! I got a tip! If you're not keen on pulling cords out, use scissors! No pulling required!

 

Just don't run to the system with them. That's no recommended.

You'd be wise to ignore the hell out of this one. Literally adds nothing to this world, or forum.

I know you don't want to mess up with your router, but my method was just blocking my XB1 MAC for 10 seconds and that would lag me out very easily and it was so quick, you wouldn't change any settings on your router at all, it was just matter of 'digitally' unplugging your console.

 

You can also try changing tragetting mode to Free Aim to get more chilled lobbies, also if you change multiple lobbies after few tries you eventually get into an empty one, to speed up the proccess set your spawn point to the last location and make sure you're in the street.
