Getting into Racing and all I have is an Entity....

So, I have 16 million sitting in the bank right now, and I've decided to get into Racing. I have an Entity XF, but it doesn't seem to match up to what's on the track right now. I was thinking of a Nero, but eh, I figured I'd ask the people who are experienced:

What Super should I get?

(I assume my Elegy Retro is good enough for Sports races?)

Vagner. You'll greatly thank yourself later.

I know the Vagner is good, but... it just looks so weird :(

then again, that amazing full length taillamp....

For what, stunt races, regular races, or both?

Stunt races I guess, those are all that anyone plays it seems :c

Vagner! My personal fave on both characters is the X80 but it takes a little experience to not get pissed off every time you drive it. I recommend the Vagner. The styling does look kind of like a Hot Wheels toy but the handling and traction and acceleration are all on point. This is a race car. If you're only gonna get one, this is the one.

Go to YouTube, search broughy fastest laps...then pick 2-3 put of the top ten you like the look of most. Run cutting coroners solo & try the cars out, do the same on route 68...one is lots of corners, the other has long speed straits. You will then know which car YOU like

What's right for one, might not suit another.

Supers is the closest and most balanced class, any of the top 10 in broughys vid will be competitive in the right hands.

Ignore peoples personal favorites...do the above & find out what YOUR favorite is, then buy it.

The only other advice is...don't be one of 'those' people who only race supers & only lame stunt races

Cutting Coroners and Broughy videos (except for his top speed videos) don't really give you an accurate measure of a super as a stunt racer. You want something with top speed and handling capable of knocking the people trying to knock you off the track, off the track. It's good sometimes to have a little weight in a car when people start playing bumpercars. That's what I like my Nero for. The Vagner seems to have that certain je ne sais quoi that a good stunt track race car needs.

I'm forced to play them. Not everyone plays them, but that's what the general public plays. Many racing crews play regular races.

Well, I wanna do others, but most people are doing those >_<

Egh, and those crews require you to have their crew as primary don't they.

So far I'm thinking of either the Turismo R, the Nero, or maybe... the T20 since it's on sale? I dunno

Zentorno, Nero and Vagner are easiest cars to drive Nero has best handling out of 3 in my opinion.

To start with, I bought a Turismo R c:

since you don´t like the vagner that much , I´d definitely go for the Nero (and if you want , you can upgrade it to the custom version )

I tried it in a race, but damn I kept losing control in it... I guess there's a reason the other supers are wedge shaped, to stay on the darn ground!

Well I find the Nero (custom) very controllable , especially in the Tubes .... and it has a very nice Grip too ... at least on PC ... maybe you have to get used to it a little bit :)

it´s definitely my to-go supercar in Stunt races , exept in technical races where I rather go for the Vagner , or Races with many straights (the 811 would be unbeatable there)

but in 80% of all stunt races , the Nero (custom) is the best ....

You can honestly win in anything, you don't really need the best of the best to keep up with all the better drivers.

I had Comets hold their own whilst I was in an Elegy Retro last night (no catch-up or slipstream) and most of the time in stunt races, I'm beating out nearly full lobbies in the Itali GTB (not custom w/ CU x SS off sometimes).

That being said though, curb boosting seems to be what gets everyone wins these days, the amount of speed it gives you compared to normal driving is insane.

Broughy even did a video on it.

Nero. If you're good, you can beat anything else. I don't even use the custom version and I still win 90% of the time.

Unless you like spaceships, don't touch the Vagner with a 10 foot pole.

If you really need a good grip car then consider the XA21 or the Tempesta since the Vagner isn't your thing.

If you find the Nero hard to handle then I suggest the Tempester it is great around corners (Like it is on rails) it is cheap and very easy to drive, but it does lack Top Speed so not great for stunt races.

The T20 is also a good option for you.

Nero, hands down.

But if you're not comfortable with how the Nero handles, I'd suggest the XA21/Tempesta.

Although they both lack top speed compared to the Nero but they're pretty much glued to the ground (For non-downforce vehicles, that is)

There aren't really many other choices. I personly prefer the Nero's loose handling.

Edit: ^Agreed, the T20 would also be a fine choice. Quite the bargain as well; 25% off :) .

Since you don't like vagner, maybe the T20/X80 or zentorno could be your choice, nero custom is good but it's a budget supercar and everyone's using it right now, and it's not that fast in stunt races, you need to drive a faster car with a highest top speed and traction to win, trust me i've learned it the hard way, buying all the top 10 supers from broughy videos

To all the people saying "if you're good it doesn't matter". It matters when you're good and you like to race other people who are good and you like to compete. The same trolls have been saying the same thing in every racing game thread about what cars to use, in every racing game since Gran Turismo first came out. "I've seen people win racing Bullets!"

Yeah I can win with my Turismo R sometimes if I'm lucky, but I'm not going to beat my own personal best, that's for sure.

You wanted one car for racing, so you ignored our advice and got the prettiest car in the game and it's slower than the car you already had lol. Nice!

(2015 video but I don't think the Entity and TurismoR have changed since then)

But I Am A Toilet

If you want to really win: Vagner

If you really want to improve: Stick with the Turismo

Just learn every secret to the track, and try to come within 1-2 sec of the BL timings normal people get with their top-tier cars. If you can match/beat their BL, you are ready to upgrade and begin trashing the lobby.

People get salty easily when you beat them with trash-tiers, and it feels awesome doing so.

I really feel like you should reconsider the vagner. The sensitivity caught me off guard, but you get used to it. Once you realize some turns can be taken without braking, it'll all make sense.

Honestly, after watching videos and stuff of it, I'd get the vagner, but those f*cked up headlights are bothering me. Like, are those real?

I'd reconsider the Vagner if it didn't look it crawled right out of Star Wars.

If the stunt race in question is very tube heavy, a Nero Custom will do you very well.

Otherwise, Vagner for everything.

Race a race-ready Vagner driven by a decent driver with a Bullet. Repeat 5 times.

I prefer the Vagner's headlights over the ones on the real Valkyrie, surprisingly enough.
