lots of crashing after verdant meadows

After I complete the mission after flight school the game immediately crashes , I've tried taking off all my mods with modloader and still crash , one thing I noticed is that when I used save game editor and changed flight skill to zero it let's me finish flight school but if I don't then the flight school immediately crashes as well
