Wouldn't be the first time they've got ideas from other games

The longer I play GTA the more I realize that EVERYTHING is stolen in some way. When is the last time Rockstar did something that came from their own think tank? I can understand the satirization of everything, but they straight-up steal game modes from CoD and others, along with damn near everything else in the game

This is the most uncreative, unoriginal studio I've ever seen. There's a difference between homage and flat-out laziness.

I doubt I'll buy another Rockstar game after this one. They just seem like a sh*t company in all aspects

There's some truth to that, but hey, every idea in a video game has been done before, it's not about reinventing the wheel.

For me, the boredom comes from the lack of variety in vehicles in this game, mostly super cars for the last couple of years.

None of those games have near the attention to detail that R* puts into thier games. Now i know people get butthurt and sperg out on anybody giving R* even an iota of credit for anything, but that's cool, sperg out to your hearts content. Half the things people thing R* have stolen were created by them over a decade ago, also inspiration isn't theft. Motor Wars is inspired by PUBG, but it's a throw away adv mode, not exactly the meat of the GTAO experience. Nope, I'm not a fanboy, just a fan, and A LOT of you guy's really do seem to be jaded haters. When you hate literally everything R* does, it becomed obvious that you have a negative bias, and your opinion should be disregarded for me at least.

I play everything added to the game, some things i very much dislike, but most things I enjoy. I don't expect everybody to feel the same way I do, but if your here hating on this game going on a year straight, maybe it's time to play something new, eh?

There are also a pair of new Adversary Modes on the horizon;

Nice, more Adversary Modes, like we haven't enough of those already.

Plus, look out for more to come to GTA Online later this year, including new Weaponized Vehicles

Nice, more ways for griefers to f*ck with the players.

and inventory updates at Legendary Motorsport,

Nice, more overpriced and slightly faster supercars.

new properties coming on the market via Maze Bank Foreclosures

Nice, more money sinks that paint a bright red target on my back when trying to do anything profitable.

At least the Transform Races look cool tho.

Well well, there is a diffrence between hating and simply disliking the way the game is heading right now. I do enjoy playing however i dislike the way we are going right now. There are far more than enough adversery modes there are far more than enough supercars and we have more than enough bussineses and the dripfeee gets longer with every update.

Seeing that they will continue the way makes me very very sad. The game lost its magic. It used to be more creative. Now its just more and more freemode PvP, more expensive futuristic supercars and more of the exact same stuff that the update before had. Each recent update caters to exactly one crowd, the highend crowd. If the updates would be a bit more diverse and open (aka less to no dripfeed) fewer people would complain.

I agree; Clearly everything that sells well is really good, that's why High School Musical 2: The Soundtrack was the objective best album of 2007.

(I don't even agree with what Conine is saying but there's so many better responses to debunk those criticisms than the tired old 'if it sells well it's immune to critique').

Well put. With a game has this many options there are always fun things to do IMO. Think outside your box.

^ lack of "diversity" (Individuality and themes) is what annoys me, but I still play because this is the only AAA concurrent game in this genre.

I try to at least try the stuff out.. End up hating 95% of it.

What themes? You can dress anyway you want in this game. Extrapolate on that I don't see what is missing.

I dont really explain myself properly, I think I mean in terms of the array of cars and the stuff that comes out customization wise

For example, me personally, the only super I own is a coquette. Everytime I wait for the next batch of cars to be put in, theyre all sports. (im more of a classic collector myself)

Id like to see more pony cars and vintage convertibles.

Im also a dressy person in real life.. So the clothes arent my favourite either. The updates in my opinion are waaaaaay to niche. But I always seem to scrounge something up

Better something, then nothing I guess. Moreover, all of their updates are free. Any problems? Work hard for shark cards or play hard for the in-game money.

P.S. R* will support GTAO till the next GTA, so we will get new updates per 3 months. Also note, that they can add a drip-feed content whatever they want, no matter what the theme is their update.

Ok. There are cheap cars to super expensive and bennys has a lot of customization. Go deep and explain what you want that you cannot get.

I agree about more vintage cars/convertibles. I dress like a maniac so I have been satisfied with the clothing for a long time. The Coquette is a sport not super btw.

I just found a forclosure property that's not currently available on maze. . It's like a farmhouse compound with shipping containers and truck trailers lying Round the property . It's in the grand Sonora desert west of the farmhouse bunker .....it's a gang attack spot and often the boxvile will spawn there for fortified . Not sure if this spot has always had this sign , I only took note as new properties are coming through maze bank for closures .

There are hundreds of foreclosure properties that have been in game since launch.

Gonna start with a negative, buuuuut I think it'd be preferable if we laid off the usage of "sperg", please ;)

Anyway, I don't really see where the "stealing bad" thing is coming from - video games thrive on creating concepts that get utilised in other video games. Every game does this, no game is unique apart from the very first game that creates a certain concept, and even then it can be kinda muddy. Sure, some games are fairly lazy about - and you can make the argument that parts of GTAO are doing just that - but entertainment is basically built on this stuff.

And hey, GTAO is easy to critique, no need to go that extreme :p

A PvE business is due. None of this "join a public session" rubbish. They need to start focusing on PvE more.

More PvE is always welcomed.

I'll rather have no more updates instead of these cut and paste, cookie cutter, same old song and dance, samey updates that only cater to the hyper rich and hyper agressive.

I mean, aside from Cunning Stunts and Cunning Stunts 2: Electric Boogaloo, we only have the same kind of updates but with a different theme each time. More businesses, more supercars, more weaponized vehicles, more Adversary Modes and nothing else. There's barely any innovation, any variation, GTAO is becoming creatively stale.

Also, the updates AREN'T FREE, maybe you and I haven't paid for them, but the people who buy Shark Cards have, in fact, funded the game's updates.

Shark Cards are overpriced and have very bad value; grinding the same sell missions, over and over, avoiding jets and flying bikes over and over, just to be able to afford more ways to grind slightly faster gets old eventually.

Also, just because R* can dripfeed as they please doesn't make it right, at all. The Hunter was requested for years, it was featured on the Smugglers Run trailer and it's currently locked behind a needlesly timewall.

Sure, R* is a business and they want money yadda yadda, but that doesn't excuse them for giving the finger to a great part of the playerbase just for a few more bucks, like if they haven't earned enough. Stop defending the undefendable.

At the risk of turning this thread into yet another I hate/love Adversary Mode conversations...

has anyone ever stopped to think that maybe the reason we get so many Adversary Modes is probably because that is the mode that offers the most diverse creative options.

Way more scope for inventiveness than Deathmatches or Last Team Standings. Or even Captures.

^ 99% of the adversery modes are nothing but captures, deathmatches and LTS with slightly changed rules. There is hardly any inventiveness. I mean stockpile is basicly just a regular capture but with aircraft instead of running around. Dont get me wrong its a fun mode but i guess the workload to create it was very small.

Survivals...remember those? How about a few new maps there? That cant be difficult, can it? Set a boundary, flood it with baddies each round.

Contact missions...they actually create an environment where all of our new toys can be used in a purposeful, grief free manner. Maybe some more of those? Theyre mostly just fetch quests anyways, what people are looking for is a change of scenery and maybe new objectives like stealing a bombushka and fending off AI while you get it from LSIA to Sandy Shores. Is it that hard?

As for new properties...why not give us things to do in the ones we have!? I have a yacht that sits idle in a part of the map I cant immediately recall where. Why not let me launch CEO business ventures from there? Maybe thats coming in the Pirate update?

Activities...basketball? Pool? Bowling? Gambling? How about incentives to play golf, tennis and arm wrestling?

We could all make a million suggestions but heres what next for real:

More armed vehicles

Another business with another computer with more cool down timers and strategic ways to make sure you cant make more than 500k an hour legit.

Super cars

Adversary Modes with broken game mechanics and terrible balancing issues.

Continued in-game inflation...yay!

There is a time when rockstar has nothing new to add to this game and they should just stop releasing these thrown together "dlc packages" and that time has passed, but of course they won't because they hope this is enough to keep people tuning in but really it is just eroding everyone's impression of the series. I used to look forward to everything that comes out good or bad but lately I find less and less hope in anything that could come out in the future. The hype train has left

Without doubt, gta online is the best open world sandbox game that's ever been made imo. Yet I can't bring myself to boot the game up anymore. Even with all the updates and free dlc, something has changed. R* don't even need to make GTAVI and if they do there probably wont be any story mode dlc, it will just be a channel into online 2.0.

In fact they could probably bring out the next creation of online without any single player and make a mint anyway. Last time I logged in was a couple of weeks ago, after about 10 minutes I had 15 texts on my phone and all Martin Adversary Modes. I was like "f*ck this sh*t" and logged off. I never thought I would turn against R* like I have but I just don't like the road they've chosen.

Sorry I've gone off topic. This should probably be in B&M :)

"The Hangars at LSIA and Fort Zancudo will need to make room for upcoming new aerial options, including the lethal and oft-requested Hunter attack helicopter."

Ayyy lmao.

So much for it's addition being coincidental, and having nothing to do with us, right?

who ever said otherwise?

So the next update will be another one of the "enjoy new $69million vehicles with guns that you need to buy another business to gain access to". sigh.

All this means is most likely I'll have one more set of emails/phone calls pestering me in-game to BUY THE NEWEST BUSINESS ALREADY

I think theyll be research vehicles like the last batch of GR vehicles. Not a new business but yeah, research can be frustrating for the new/poor/time strapped players.

Seriously, people forget that planes and boats are vehicles too, the next update WILL be a business, the property will most likely be a boathouse, and the new weaponized vehicles will be gunships, much like we got with smugglers run, only on water.
