Weapon Wheel Question

I started a new account for GTAO on Oct 1st.

I'm only buying one gun for each space on the weapon wheel. So far I bought AP, Special Carbine, Micro SMG, Assault Shotgun and Heavy Sniper.

Which would you choose for the heavy weapon section of the weapon wheel and why? Minigun, Grenade Launcher, RPG, or Rocket Launcher?

Hope to hit level 120 sometime today.

BTW, I'm not buying any explosives or tear gas for that section of the wheel. I can find those for free in the game.

I like to keep my arsenal to a minimum as well, but in the heavy weapon category I make regular use of the RPG, Homing launcher, Minigun and Compact grenade launcher so I keep them all.

 

I guess if I had to choose just one it'd be the homing launcher as its the most versatile.

Started with public Moc Missions and then Ron's double RP missions started.

I would keep the Homing Rocket Launcher, as it's a somewhat good defense against helicopters.

 

Ditch the Micro SMG, it's useless since you already have the AP Pistol.

 

Convert the Heavy Sniper to a Heavy Sniper MK2.

If I could only have one heavy weapon,it would be Homing Launcher,because it's useful against NPC helicopters in missions.

If you have an AP Pistol,you should swap the Micro SMG for a Combat MG (at least that's what I would do).

Personally I'd use the Minigun for my heavy weapon slot. Even though it sets me at a disadvantage, it would be way easier to down AI helicopters and mow down AI vehicles.

I would go with the Minigun personally to deal with enemy choppers. If that means no RPG in this case, then I would suggest using sticky bombs as the explosive weapon that deals with enemies themselves and their cars. That way you got your bases covered pretty well.

I get the most use out of the RPG for both PVE and PVP. I can't even remember the last time I used the HL since the explosive sniper released.

Just "Report" your own post and ask for a lock request in the text box. I suggest leaving it open for others that are looking to do what you're doing, though. I'm also very tidy and try to stick with one weapon. Issue is my "Custom Weapon Layout" always screws itself up with each session so I tend to spawn with 40 weapons down my pants until I go to a gun safe and apply it (interaction menu doesn't work...).
