JamesG
I was originally thinking of trolling people with this. But had second thoughts and decided to show you folks in the visual arts forum. A few months ago I was bored with Photoshop open, looking at a blank screen. Then I suddenly had some sort of vision of a video game in 1977 NYC (with actual video game graphics) and thought "What game could be best suited in 1977 NYC", suddenly thought of LA Noire and a possible sequel. Since Noir basically means black in French, or "dark", any dark movie or game is technically in that noir genre. Even Taxi Driver is in the neo-noir genre. So the darkest year in NYC's history would be perfect, right? So then I came up with this. Just thought I'd post it here. There's no point making something and not showing anyone. Mister Pink
Or 1981, . I like it as a standalone thing but something about it doesn't seem like its from Rockstar. There's too much detail and I'm not sure where my eyes are supposed to go because of the lack of a subject. I think the skyline silhouette over Times Square and Times Square is too detailed. There's a lot going on. There's no one focal point. One main subject. Of course the NY. Noire might be the subject but it shouldn't be. You need one central figure. You need a subject and the Times Square image should be a background. I like the idea and use of the pink font. Seems very 70's New York. Especially with the sex industry that materialized there in the 70's. Actually, a NY Noire game in the late 70's/early 80's would be awesome. Well done on this. I would love to see you develop it more. Edited October 12, 2017 by Mister Pink 🆆🅰🅽🅽🅰 🅶🅴🆃 🅱🅰🅲🅺 🆈🅾🆄🆁 🅻🅾🆅🅴

Eh, I'm an amateur, give me a break. 1981 would be cool, I've also seen that movie called "A Most Violent Year" based in 1981 NYC, pretty decent movie. But I came to 1977 because there was so much happening. The rise of disco, the porn, sex, vice, but there was also a serial killer on the loose, and all the blackout of 1977, all the looting and chaos in that would make a great DLC or "get away from it all" case, plus Taxi Driver vibes. It all just screams Noire. Again, thanks for the feedback!
