ANTI-MICROTRANSACTION PETITION THREAD FOR RDR2

Recommended Posts

FirstDegreeDonny

Don't want Shark Cards or any crap like that in RDR2? Say so here and I'll tally it up.

Last thing we need is the followup to the beautiful Red Dead Redemption acting like a spoiled Candy Crush as Rockstar tosses out new horses or something for the frothing hordes to mindlessly buy for an advantage.

Dee.

jesus christ....

Anyway Take2 laughs at your efforts, OP.

This game will be riddled with them unfortunately. And microtransactions dont lengthen a game's lifespan. Shadow of war isnt even out yet and its dead on arrival because of them. GTAs always have long lifespans

No, MT don't give a game long life, new content and a dedicated player base do.

IMO there is an argument that micro transactions have helped extend the life of GTAO (whilst killing GTA5 story mode). What I think they have got wrong is value of the GTA dollar, the real world cost of some of the in game items is more than the cost of the game in the first place... we might be having a different discussion if £5 would buy you the most expensive item in the game.

For me microtransactions are not the villain, it's just they aren't really 'micro' when T2 are involved.

However as T2 will be involved and I know they will cock it up so I would be more than happy to sign away on some anti MT stuff for RD2.

That is not true, it depends on their implementation.

And in this instance they most certainly increased the life-span of GTA Online by huge margin, as they are pretty much responsible for the Onlines success and long-term support.
