PSA: Check your garage for sold Dupes

I did a money glitch many many months ago before I became a billionaire, this involved selling retro elegys. Now months later, they have all reappeared in my garages (???) my dupe garages were empty until now. Somehow something happened, thank you R* lol

Things are different now, there's Dupe Detection.

Every dirty dupe you sell increase your Exploit Level which limits the amount of cars you can sell until you become Repeat Offender limiting you to 2 cars or one car every 30 hours.

You would have to wait 15 months to get out of that status.

The sell price would decrease as well depending on the amount of dupes detected, you won't make much money from them if they are dirty.

Check one of them, if it's dirty then all of them are same.

If what you said happened so long ago before Gunrunning or Import/Export then I'm pretty sure it would be detected as dirty dupe.

Nowadays dupes must have custom and different license plates in order for it to remain as valid dupe.

You can make a new plate just the dirty plate can't be applied, a friend told me this

Wow I wasn't even aware of that situation. Dupe detections, dupe levels etc. Looks like they put more manhours into that then actual content.

There was a Retro Elegy dupe a few months ago that stored dupes in the R* "cloud" if you kept doing the dupe process after all of your garage spots were filled. A couple of crew members were doing it.

Did you sell too many cars you actually paid for? Personal vehicles even non duped count in the dupe detect if you sell too many too quickly. Also removing planes from your hanger even for free will still get you dupe detected if you sell too many too quickly. You lose the ability to make and apply custom plates if your exploit level is too high

If there not dirty and your on PC, you can bypass the daily sell limit with a few different methods. I wont tell you how but that sinners place has a topic about it.

If it affects all and some of them you are certain they aren't dupes, then your Exploit level is 4 or above.

You must lower it by selling one car every 30 hours and your level will decrease every 60 hours.

Spend like a week selling one car or two cars every 30 hours to make sure your level will decrease by three levels.

There's a threshold that if you trigger it would increase your level, 3 cars within one hour.

Sell two cars and that's it or one car every 31 minutes to avoid the threshold.

Exactly this. If you have access to custom plates on that character at that time and the dupe also has access to custom plates then it's safe to sell. Sell one per 31 minutes and no more than 6 in 30 hours. If the dupe has no access to custom plates and your other cars do then it dirty and you should buy another car over the top of it. (or clean it) but that's another story and the technique changes all the time.

If that's your character 2 then it could be that your plates just aren't showing up which is a pretty common bug that's been in the game since forever (it happens all the time to one of my characters, which is a clean account). If they don't show up after ordering one from ifruit though then you must have an exploit level.

 

For me what I do since I have like 8 accounts I need to looks after, I just log into one account after the other and sell two cars back to back then log into the next account. I do that once or twice a day. It's ok to sell 2 cars back to back so long as you don't do more than that in an hour.

Also this, if you had a hanger full of pegasus stuff and then removed them all (counts as a sell on dupe detect) you would be in high level dupe detect without plates for a year or worse !.

Well maybe if sh*t wasn't so overpriced in this game and earning millions of dollars wouldn't take full on hours or days then maybe just maybe this wouldn't be an issue. Think about it?

Cheaters will always have excuses why they cheat. Maybe just maybe the point of the game is to play for days to earn enough money to buy sh*t? I play like R* has intended and play for days to buy just one car. If you don't have the time, you buy shark cards, it's that simple. I don't have the right start to criticize R* decisions in a game, that I am not forced to play and then start justifying cheating because the game is not designed for me.

I mean, yes, I get it; if someone were cheating against you specifically that would be an issue, but duping is simply a matter between the players and Rockstar; it's taking advantage of faulty coding, not about getting an unfair advantage over you in combat-type situations or taking money directly from your own virtual bank account. Either way, the argument will go in circles forever and if you want to play completely legitimate, that's great! However, waltzing into a thread and calling out others engaged in a discussing about duping about their dirty money, their "cheating" ways, or saying that you intend to report them to Rockstar is not going to get you anywhere. Seriously though, just step back and breathe for a moment; you'll live longer if you do not meddle within the affairs of things that have absolutely nothing to do with you.

If you did grind for days, weeks months to earn enough money to buy sh*t and then R* took away your legit earned money, and when you submitted a ticket or maybe 6 tickets and just received bot replies for weeks on end. Would you just write it off as a mistake by R* and continue grinding your ass off to get that money back? Or would you consider an alternative method?

 

It happened to me and many others on PC http://gtaforums.com/topic/894959-so-rockstar-just-took-pretty-much-all-of-my-money/page-1. I eventually went down the duping path to get my money back and have enough stocks in case it happens again. Judge me if you will but R* sent me down that path and my fanboyizm threw itself out of the window along with the game.

So I have two cars with a deleted plate on them one is a free elegy and the other is a phoenix. From what I read the phoenix is marked as a dirty dupe even though it isn't (false positive), it does not have access to custom plates. The elegy did have custom plates available but the phoenix didn't. Is there anything wrong with having a dirty dupe besides not being able to sell it for full value? And also is there anyway for me to get rid of it without the issue of the exploit levels. I have never done any dupes or glitches but I may have been in some of the exploit levels for selling too many personal vehicles. What can I do?

Put it in a full garage.

 

Steal a car off the street and drive it into said garage (buying a new car won't work)

 

When it warns you you will delete a vehicle if you store the stolen one say yes

 

Save it over the space of the car you want gone.

 

Had to do this for the lifeguard blazer back in the day.
