lost-in-emotions
hey there, i never knowed, that there are such a big discussion behind it. as my old 23" full-hd monitor was out to date, i logically wanted a 27" with 4k. but know i heard, that must not be the perfect setting. now there are two sides: 27" / 4K / 60hz / 1ms 27" / WQHD / 144hz / 5ms How i play? I like Eyecandy! Crisis, Bioshock, GTA, Fallout 4, etc (and i work with Adobe Creative Suite sometimes) What i not play is MMOGs: Battlefield, COD, Overwatch, PUBG. so, what is your opinion? what would the best for me? Mexicola9302
Depends on the hardware. But if your PC can`t handle 1440p @ 144 HZ (144 FPS) you should go for the 2160p @ 60 HZ. I got a 27" 1080p 144 HZ monitor with G-Sync for shooters if i sit at my desk, and for the rest i use my 4K Sony TV i can play 1080p @ 100 HZ, 1440p @ 75 HZ and 2160p @ 60 HZ on it. It`s better for the future to have 4K instead of 1440p well it depends if the monitor can handle other resolutions as well. But normaly a 2160p @ 60 HZ monitor can handle 1440p @ 60 - 75 HZ too. But you should know what it can before you buy it. If the new monitor has 3D support it will be able to handle the same resolutions like my TV i guess. But the games you like are all very hardware hungry in higher resolutions.
HaRdSTyLe_83
27" seems a bit small for 4k
sivispacem
27", 144Hz, 2K and GSync is basically perfection as far as I'm concerned. lost-in-emotions
i think my new upcoming pc can handle 144hz. what to have for? but g-sync 144hz monitors are very expensive (in amazon)?! roundabout 800 EUR. or do you have some suggestions? do i really need g-sync on 144hz? is this really noticeable? HaRdSTyLe_83
Dell S2716dg goes for about 600$ here - 27" 144Hz 2K Gsync - TN panel i would say anything above 75Hz is perfect for me, cant really spot the difference between 120Hz and 144Hz but that is different from person to person. IMO i would go to a local store and see both [email protected] or 2K/144Hz
sivispacem
Couldn't live with TN after 3+ years with IPS panels. HaRdSTyLe_83
i feel your pain, so many decisions and each one adds extra cost to your budget, only you can chose what really is important for you. last week i played in my local store with a triple CFG70 curved 1080p 144hz running project cars 2 and it was insane, apart from racing games it can be useless, but that got stucked in my mind i like that ACER, thin bezels and IPS Edited October 2, 2017 by HaRdSTyLe_83

If you just want a 4K monitor take the first one it`s the cheapest and should be good enough. Edited October 2, 2017 by Mexicola9302
sivispacem
G-Sync doesn`t help with that in that low HZ area. It does, inasmuch as you no longer have to choose between screen tearing or stutter as the framerate drops from 60 to 30. lost-in-emotions
i HAVE the Samsung U28E590D 4k Monitor ;-) But i am thinking about to change it in WQHD and 144hz. Because 80% of the opinions says: 144hz is better then 4K. So i have two favorites, in WQHD and 144hz: https://www.amazon.de/dp/B01784K78A/ https://www.amazon.de/dp/B01784K78A/ Pro: Acer has IPS Panel, Cheaper, Sale directly of Amazon Con: Acer has FreeSync (useless with my Nvidia), Acer < Dell
