[TxT]: Not loosing guns or Money when busted! [ANDROID]

Hello this is my first post here. After downloading GTA San Andreas from Google Play Store yesterday, I completed 6.42% and got busted during the Second mission of Ryder and I chose not to restart it. But then I noticed that the cops are not taking either my guns or bucks. I am playing the Mobile version for the first time so I don't know much about how much it differs from the PC version I used to play 10 years ago. In the PC version there was a Girlfriend's Dating mission glitch which won't let us loose guns, but I am still far away from this point. I haven't activated any cheats, even I know very little about how to use them on touch screen. Is this a feature of mobile version? I mean not loosing guns or money when busted makes the already auto aiming game more easy. Or do is there something terribly wrong with my save file? Thanks in advance.

It's my understanding that the glitch works the same way on all versions. If you load a save with the girlfriend bonus active and then start a new game the bonus will carry over from the previous save. The odd thing about this situation is that you just downloaded the game. Usually this glitch doesn't show up until the second play though. But if you had downloaded a save to play around with before starting your first game then this glitch would be expected. You can avoid this glitch by restarting the app and starting a new game directly from the menu.

 

If your observations differ significantly from the description above then perhaps you really do have an unusual glitch. Do you have fire extinguishers in the pizza and burger joints? Because those don't spawn on restart saves. If you've got the busted bonus glitch and extinguishers then that would be worth investigating further.

I played GTA : Chinatown Wars for over a year on mobile and that was not the case there, get busted and loose money+all guns. It's pretty standard. May be what you are saying is true for 3D era GTA's on Mobile. :-)

You are right homie! I ain't got no fire extinguisher! But I wonder how come did it happen with a clean game. I mean I just directly started it.

May be what you are saying is true for 3D era GTA's on Mobile. :-)Yeah thats what I mean, lol, I never play GTA CW on mobile so the mistake on me :D anyway all 3D era doesn't erase weapon or money when the player got busted or wasted but I'm not sure on GTA LCS tho because it was ported by Lucid Games, from GTA III to SA does not remove the weapon and money..

 

IIRC player doesnt recieve a wasted/busted information after the player got send to the hospital/police hq, or did you recieve the info?

Man I played GTA:LCS on PPSSPP and by default cops don't take weapons there. It's some kind'a default in Liberty City so we can assume Lucid Games won't be allowed to spoil that. :)

Man I just headed to my save files in Android>Data>com.rockstargames.gtasa and cut all my save files to SD card. Then pasted my friend's save file who completed all Los Santos missions. And that file is working normal, without Busted bonus. But then I noticed that my cloud save files, i.e. slot 7 & 8 are having some kilo bytes of memory in them. I connected to Wi-fi and re-login to my social account. And found those two save files which I loaded in to my cloud while trying a cleo activated apk on my previous android tablet which could barely handel this at at even minimum setting. That's why I uninstalled and upgraded to a powerful device. By the way, those two save files were almost completed saving the last mission "end of the line" using cleo. Now I guess that should be a proper explanation. But I am pretty sure I didn't load those at anytime after new game installation, at start I login to my R* account only to save my new game files. I don't know how complicated this things are, but I hope Madd Dogg don't goes mad and jump immediately because of this all :p .

I like your hypothesis about the cloud saves. It seems a bit odd but it makes more sense than anything else. You could try reproducing the glitch by setting up a particular cloud save and reinstalling. If you are really that curious I'll craft a custom save for you with an unusual carry-over configuration so we know for sure that you've traced the glitch fully.

 

Since you are worried about your game, please try the test of getting a fresh start the game app and starting a new game without loading any saves and checking the extinguishers. If you know how to get a clean start then you have little to worry about.

 

The carry-over glitches are mild anyway, and usually an advantage. There is no way for them to have severe consequences like the Madd Dogg glitch. It's stuff like, free resprays for a while, the girlfriend bonuses, and the floor behind the smashwall for End of the Line is active. If you break the wall with a SWAT on a fresh save there's a big hole there instead. I specialize in SA save glitches, and in my book, restart saves with a few carry-over glitches is more normal than fresh saves.

 

Added: On PS2 the game always loads the most recent save. Most of the saves I see for PS2 are restart saves. Many players learned to control the girlfriend bonuses, nobody worried about anything else.

 

And, if you don't use cleo or other mods, there's not much that can go wrong with a save these days. GTASnP.com has tool that can fix most of the common errors. There are a few tricky bugs it can't handle yet. If a glitch has a major impact on your game then I can fix it. I guess Om0 tricks can bug your save a little if you aren't careful. It's an exploit used by speedrunners and special vehicle collectors and hard to stumble across accidentally. (If you think you heard the phone ring just as you start a mission you'd better reload to be safe.)

 

Oh, wait. Android. Besides the usual bugs that all versions share, mobile has a really buggy checkpoint system. If you fail a mission and restart from the checkpoint save then any objects from the mission will likely get saved permanently. Most mission don't use many objects, but a few can duplicate doors that block mission progression. You'll have much fewer issues with your save if you play it like the other systems. If you fail a mission then either live with it or load a normal save and try again. I'm hoping to automate the process of cleaning up stray objects on mobile saves, and stray icons on any save, well enough that the strategy can be implemented on SnP, but that's still a long ways off.

Thanks very much dude. Since this time I'mma thinkin of playing it seriously without mods and cheats, and that's why I purchased it, I would rather like to see where my save file leads me to. If I face some problems in far I guess all the tools available online can save my save file and anyway you guys are here to help :D . Currently I am on stuck on "Farewell, my love". Thanks again for your advices, I will experiments with those as soon as I complete all the story missions :) .
