It's on discount right now, 35% off, would it be worth it for a solo player? I definitely like the design, and I've seen it in action a couple of times... but I only have 9.6Mil, and plan on buying the Cyclone when it comes out, so I'm not sure if it would be a wise idea to buy the Savage. The small arms and melee damage resistance is a bit poor though, but it's supposed to blow up on the second explosion only (other than the explosive sniper rifle, which takes 4 shots). The Cyclone is nice but it really needs more top speed to go with the stupid acceleration. As a long time Buzzard pilot, I found the handling heavy and unresponsive; the Savage's tendency to take a while to pull out of a dive had me hitting the deck a few times before I adjusted my technique. But the weapons. Wow. Those spam missiles chew up enemies (great in Headhunter) and the explosive cannon is awesome too. Forza Harrd Posted September 29, 2017 Share Posted September 29, 2017 As a long time solo MC businessman and CEO VIP mission player, the Savage (especially since they buffed it) (and double especially since it's on discount) is a must. If you spot them early and have enough time, you can also just land somewhere and use the explosive sniper. Then once the jet's down, get back in. To OP, yes I would get it, though I am just a helicopter. There aren't many helicopters that can survive a missile - let alone not even be smoking after one (most of the time). It also has its own strengths and weaknesses compared to the Hunter, so that shouldn't make it irrelevant. It's not the strongest, but the buff has helped. - The Savage has saved my bacon on more times than I can count. From stopping the stupid griefers, to helping me on missions. It's awesome. Plus it looks awesome. Also, it can help with the 'Bribe cops and cause havoc objective' - Save your ammo, just fire a few rounds from the explosive cannon. Boom! Also once you understand how to fly the savage without flipping it, and if you do how to recover, makes flyings say the Voltus and Havok that much more fun. Get it.... Allows you to utterly ruin NPCs, transports some friends, looks pretty damn awesome- you'll make your money back real quick, even if you're just using it for Headhunter and then a transport to your next special cargo or import/export vehicle. Opinions? It's a great solo vehicle useful for all kinds of missions especially ones where you have to take down hordes of enemies.. spammable rockets and explosive cannons can't do no wrong! Low hanging fruit. that oversized pear can actually do a lot of work in pvp against armoured vehicles and when u got a ground team supporting u so id say its pretty high up on the fruit tree but that might be just my opinion so oh well. But when you get the hang of the savage, it can get pretty devastating. cannon range might be a tad short, but never underestimate the death beams from the savage, hydra and lazer.
