Help ! Game crashes immediately after launch ( Crash logs included in post )

SOLVED : Uninstalled MSI Afterburner

 

 

I've already tried most of the common fixes, including the ones in this post

Social club launches normally and signs me in, but as soon as the game window opens it says "GTA V has stopped working "

Is your game directory default, or have you added stuff to it in the past?

 

I'm wondering why it says this:

I think it's default .. I had some mods but I deleted them like a year ago.

I tried launching the game several times in safe mode and I think the latest crash was in safe mode so maybe that's why it says that.

There's nothing in "Launch options in the steam library"

 

Edit : forgot to say that this issue only started about 2/3 days ago. The game used to run fine before so this must be a new update or something. I didn't update any software on my pc before this happened.

Try deleting the entire GTA V folder, the default path is C:\Users\<USER NAME>\Documents\Rockstar Games\GTA V and launch the game.

 

Do note, however, that you'll lose your single player saves doing that, as well as the graphics settings you've set for the game, so ideally, make a backup of that whole folder before deleting it.

I already did that before and it didnt work

 

I tried uninstalling MSI Afterburner and it wierdly started working as normal ... I've been using this program for months now I dont know why it suddenly conflicts with the game

That's interesting, thanks for the reply on that - wonder if MSI Afterburner is causing some issues on one of my machines. I'll have to see what it's like when I've uninstalled it. Been having some issues with a GTX 1070.
