Sorry bud, realistic sauces are a DLC. You'll need to buy 34 shark cards just to afford one bottle.

I remember Rockstar said that for V it would be different in terms of mini games. They said rather than a huge variety of mini-games that the series previously had, they would focus on more fleshed-out games but much less games in V such as Tennis and Golf. I rarely played those games. I think I would have preferred more and variety vs less and more fleshed-out games. That a huge reason why GTA was so great in the 3D era. There were all these often times "hidden" mini-games dotted around the map. It always felt there was so much to do.

In SA you had: off-track betting, dancing game, casino games (blackjack, poker machines, roulette, wheel of fortune), lowrider game, videogames (Duality, Ready To Bumble, Go-Go Space Monkey), pool, basketball.

Just between Off-Track Betting and the casinos alone could provide you with hours of fun. It's the kind of mischief I'd rather be getting up to in a crime game than Golf and Tennis. I can also earn good money gambling too.

Bowling in IV is actually quite good. Only mistake about it is that it was put out there as a major feature in a game that lacked many features of the games before, which was a mistake. If bowling was just another "hidden" mini game, Bowling in IV wouldn't have got so much stick

I loved doing the mini-games after story completion and when I was going for 100% in SA. BMX Challenge, NRG Challenge, Chilliad Challenge and the Blood Bowl Challenge in the arena was pretty sweet. The idea of games within a game in GTA was great but Rockstar getting a little serious when it came to golf and Tennis. OK.. but I only like mini-games in GTA as a completion challenge or just as a distraction, you're not going to replace Tiger Woods game or any of the dedicated games.

I think Rockstar should introduce more mini-games in future and stop with trying to just do a couple but making them really fleshed out. GTA isn't about Golf and Tennis. GTA is about finding lots of hidden mini-games within the game itself. Like I said, Rockstar can focus on making some of those mini-games more realistic but they're not going to replace the games I all ready own for those minigames like Rory McIlroy/Tiger Woods. So they are better off just making more fun little hidden treasures.

video games.

i mean video games within the game you are playing

Imagine playing the original GTA on the protagonist's version of the original PlayStation, within GTA 6.

That'd be f*cking amazing. It'd be a trip down memory lane for sure, and it would give the younger generation of players a chance to play the first game.

This.

And yes, realistic steak, too.

By the way realistic steak deserves its own thread.

Lots of great ideas in here.

I too would like to see pool make a return. Both 8-ball and 9-ball, please. I'd also like to see bowling and some arcade games and maybe (though unlikely) even a pinball machine or two. I didn't care for tennis but I've been known to play a round of golf in GTAV here and there, so having that come back would be cool (but a full 18 holes this time please). Of course darts has to come back too and I wouldn't mind basketball either. And of course a casino, either legit or otherwise.

Out of all the mini games, the Keepie-Uppy Beach Ball game in Vice city is the only one that I bother to play, and it's worth returning in future. It's a nice, simple, time pass game that I can enjoy alone, and furthermore, the game tests your skills at timing, and ability to focus. Not bad, at all. It'd be cool if we can bounce the ball against a wall, and from all different angles. Even on the ball on the peds, though not to cause any harm, but another object to bounce the ball against.

Lock n' Stock

I'm quite tired of the focus on leisure activities to be honest. We could really use some actual crime-related activities, like underground fight clubs, vigilante missions and gang/drug wars.

GTA V really dropped the ball with this to be honest, though bringing back rampages was at least a step in the right direction. I also found it greatly annoying how Los Santos had a massive arena but absolutely f*ck-all was done with it (like bringing back Hotring/8-Track missions). A real missed opportunity imo.

Gambling should definitely make a return, also am I the only one who wants a playable version of GTA 1 or 2 in the game, thought that would be interesting as a way to connect the games together even know they are not in the same universe.

In an improved engine like RAGE has been always at the top of my wishlist. The problem to this is that Rockstar may find it quite distracting (too good as a minigame) over other leisure type of minigames they have worked hard on designing them. It's like having another GTA experience within a GTA game itself, and players may also start comparing features between these two old vs. modern games, demanding specific features, etc.

Even though I'd love to have them, I don't think Rockstar would be interested in including them as minigames, to avoid certain comparisons, or focus from other minigames included in the main game.

@ topic - I miss the BMX challenge in HD era.

Truck driving, get a load (trailer) with your truck and deliver it through the entire map to another place. Trucks should be customizable.

Taxi driving, Taxis should be customizable with presets of existing colors through the US, also wheels, exhausts and the like, a selection of cars should be abled to be turned into Taxis, e.g. the Schafter.

18zzy3ndh9py8jpg.jpg

Vigilante, a selection of civilian cars should be able to be turned into wannabe police cars (bullbars, sirens, emergency lights) with a preset of suitable paintings.

Security%20car%20graphics%20-%20letterin

Unlimited assassinations, you get a call at public phones to kill a random pedestrian or car driver somewhere in the map, maybe with specifications which weapons to use.

Table dancing if a female character is available.

Monster truck and Nascar races if it fits to the location.

Ambulance and Firefighting

Mini-games related to crime, FFS. If I want to do yoga or play tennis I can launch The Sims 3 & 4 anytime.

GTA 5 is so censored and childish about that.

I want to deal drugs, weapons; taking care of prostitution and rackets business; steal luxury cars and sell it on the black market; kidnapping. I played GTA because it was about crime.

I want to have to think about the market, what should I do or not do, sell or not sell.

I want to build an empire and buy tons of assets and villa, hotel suites and mansion.

While I dislike menial activities in my open-world crime/action game as much as the next guy, nothing is being censored or "childish" by including them.

Why not have the best of both worlds by having hobbies like tennis, golf etc and criminal activities? More to do is a good thing in any open-world.

Well I agree, but to me it seem like it is censor and pretty childish too, to include yoga and golf, tennis? and exclude other mini-games based on crime in a GTA game?; sure yoga or whatever as an 'extra', if I can call it like that, in my opinion, but that's all.

As long as it isn't hamfisted and forced like it was in V.

Would you care to elaborate on why you think it's censorship? Nothing mature is being compromised by including hobbies & activities like the ones you mentioned.

Well, I feel that way because I thought the general tone of the game were already childish and censored; in this case they didn't include mini-games like dealing drugs, humans trafficking or whatever; which is odd, they preferred to implement yoga and such; why ? Some other things were somehow censored too, for example, the bullet entry and exit wounds are very simple.

GTA-5-Blood-and-Gore-Mod-675x380.jpg

This is far away and reduced violence from the 3D entry/exit wound model from Max Payne 3 and headshot wound from RDR.

I said that because I thought it was a set of things, on many levels it is somehow childish and censored.

I don't know if you know what I mean.

I get what you mean it's just that you kind of worded it wrong.

But I do agree however, GTA V's tone is general goofy and silly for no reason except to try and recapture the tongue and cheek nature of previous GTA games but it comes across as immature. I wouldn't go as far as to say it's censored per se but it's definitely childish in terms of it's overall tone.

And yes, wound models in MP3 were vastly superior.

Burglary

Bank heists (Being able to walk into a bank and rob it just like you can shops, be able to plan them too)

Gyms

Shop robberies

Vigilante, paramedic, taxi and firefighter missions, like in Renderware games. No "improvements" please.

Gang wars definitely, or some way of taking over the map.

Off road racing.

Trucking.

Golf and snooker - these were actually not bad a game.

Dancing would be fun, but more types of dance, not just what SA had. Waltz would be awesome, just imagine screwing it up by pressing a wrong arrow key?

House burglary.

Helping police fight crime - VC "good citizen" equivalent,

Something to do with farming. Plowing or flying a Duster plane.

Triathlon. 100 times yes.

Train driving. Not only it is features great scenery, but also convenient when you're eating with your other hand.

BMX challenge.

The main thing is that we should have more small unrelated things scattered around map - remember, how SA had betting and aeroplane tickets purchase? Great little things that add fun useful realism. But also the map needs to be fitting. Trucking in SA was out of town on it's own spacious compound. Races weren't just a bunch of people hanging by the airport, but a dedicated map on a wall, which worked better.
