Exactly, sad thing is when the PS4 is later revealed, it will start all over again, what ever the design will be, a box shape or flying saucer disk, it will be mocked and judged. It will come down to sales, in the end MS will have the upper hand again due to the fact it's an all in one entertainment box. Xbox will drive more buyers to it. FACT

Xbox One: live TV available in US only at launch, requires separate device

 

Xbox One’s live TV fucntionality will only be available in the US at launch, a press release from Microsoft has confirmed.

 

In a release sent to VG247 this evening confirms that Live TV with Kinect navigation, Live TV with One Guide, Trending, and NFL on Xbox will only be available in North America at launch. The release added that Microsoft anticipates a global roll-out over time.

 

As shown in the Microsoft reveal stream, and confirmed in the release, “Live TV will require a supported receiver device with HDMI output,” which is sold separately.

The ablility to lock out used games that are of a tangible nature could cause some difficulties in the courts for MS. The First-Sale Doctrine protects the rights of the owners who choose to sell their physical copy without payment to the original creator/developer. Having to pay the company again is comparable to Droit De Suite, which American law doesn't usually allow.

The problem with these positive opinions is that their discussion value is zero. They are worthless. They boil down to "I like it and you don't because you're a hater". The masses that you're talking about are actually engaged in a discussion about the console. Difference of opinion is welcome if it's backed by some thinking about the subject and an attempt to bring something new to the table.

 

And I'm not cynical, I'm skeptical.

Well the positive people are entitled to their opinions but everyone else is also entitled to think that the positive people's opinions are stupid.

I hope not Alan Wake 2. The first one was the biggest load of crap. They announced it like how they did Watch Dogs, a year before the new console aka the 360. That game didnt end up coming out until like 5 years later and ended up being such a lame game with no real progressive or influential gameplay. What a flop.

What do we saw? Except for the new Forza and that Quantum whatever, they only showed games with nothing new to offer. FIFA? CoD? Meh... That was a terrible presentation. I'm not a fanboy of any console or company, but for now, PS4 is much better than X1.

I actually wasn't being sarcastic, I want the Xbox One also . I'm seriously excited for all those things you listed, next gen Halo and Forza are going to be amazing. Forza's always been great with graphics.

Perhaps if your a loner, a bit overweight who doesn't like to lift his arms any further than to take a swig of Mountain Dew then ya this console will not be for you.

As i previously stated i am glad for the control not seeing a major change, that would of been criminal.

 

 

Is the top part touch screen do we think? Or is that just a plastic finish with an Xbox logo on it?

 

And one thing that made me chuckle, the "revolutionary" Twist and turn D pad that was priced at £50 a controller when brought out for the 360, is not making a return on this controller it seems.
