sh*t, it sounds like Microsoft want to invade are privacy. This doesn't seem like a new games console. This camera thing is getting kind of creepy.

What rules?

you bought a movie to watch with your friends and it shuts down saying "your friends did not pay for this content".

And did not they show that the new Kinetic camera is full HD?

That should be far enough to make sure that your console know that it is YOU who is playing, instead of your girl/boyfriend .. or neighbour .. or brother/sister.

Only thing that will save the Xbox One for me, is if there is great exclusive games for the system.

I honestly can't see the use of picking up both the Ps4 and Xbox one if I would be playing the same games on it..

 

Not to mention the amount of money one would have to spend for that.

 

Microsoft is indeed a company that competes with Apple, but on the gaming side of that, it has to compete with the consoles as well.

 

I mean Sony isn't strictly gaming either! But their gaming part of them should stick to catering to the gamers rather than everyone. It is not bad to have music, movies, and photos on the system as well. But seriously, I can already do that sh*t on my iPhone.

 

Microsoft f*cked up today when trying to sell their idea of the console because people already were in the thought that games were going to be shown. Instead of showing something new and different, they give us stuff we already know about..

 

This does not mean that they are doomed..Hopefully E3 redeems them.

Why is it named Xbox 720, where does that comes from? If it's just a speculation, it's stupid. You don't just double the number! Was the first Xbox called Xbox 180? No.

Xbox 720 is so wide spread already that it would be silly for them to change the name now, either way, no company is worse in name picking than Nintendo, I mean c'mon, WII and WII U?

I thought so too but they have 8 remember so that's like 12.8GHz processing power. We don't even know if the cores can run two threads or not which would make it more efficient.

Xbox live is extortion, paying an additional fee after i bought or borrowed a used game is extortion. Needing Kinect for the xbox one to function is stupid, no backwards compatibility with everything is stupid. no impressed!

I really hope their console fails. Not because I hate Microsoft, but because if it fails it means that people aren't so f*ckin' stupid to buy into this Orwellian crap.

That was probably the worst conference I have ever laid my eyes on. Microsoft centred too much on the entertainment factor rather than the games and software themselves.

Wow, it's like I've always wanted a console that has the ability to watch TV channels I can't get in the UK without paying up the ass for them, Social Networking features I don't need considering practically everyone hates having their Facebook News Feed spammed with stuff they don't care about and Sports Features that I absolutely, most positively don't like.

 

Or how about a "new" Kinect that will require a room the size of the f*cking Royal Albert Hall for it to work. Did Microsoft not know that the UK in itself has the smallest room size per capita in Europe? Also, the Kinect 2 (or whatever the thing is called) has to be connected and on for the Xbox One to work - which I'm sure is going to get Microsoft in quite a jam with the UK's Privacy Laws and such because the general consumer and gamer has always wanted to be spied on by Microsoft.

The only things I liked where Steven Spielberg helping make the Halo TV series which might lead the movie currently stuck in development hell and the controller which is supposedly improving the D-Pad. I liked the placement of the Analogue sticks on the Xbox controller, they placed the right amount of room between each hand and individual thumbs. Although the console itself looks like an 80 pound VCR and the size would make the Philips CD-I blush.

Seriously this alone would prevent me from getting an Xbox One (if I was ever going to in the first place) ever. Its called the Xbox One but it comes with TWO boxes. What the actual hell? Where the hell am I supposed to put that? Balance it on top of the TV which is a flatscreen btw.

 

Also I just found out that Microsoft can track your face via Kinect and use it as DRM tactic? How sneaky not to mention slightly creepy. No doubt someone will eventually hack into peoples systems and view them secretly. I don't want to play on my console knowing Microsoft are watching my dance moves. No one gets to see me dance around like a douchebag to Beat It except me.
