I use the app on my tablet for messaging.  No way could I use a controller to type.

 

Crazy that they removed it from the browser version of things.

I'm not really surprised tbh. It's a bit of a bold move but I think it makes sense to incentivize people to use the app. The apps are going to be not just companion apps but an integral function for the next-gen, xCloud, Game Pass Ultimate machine. Everyone that has an Xbox account has a device compatible with their apps. And they are putting a lot of time and money to their apps. 

 

But, I can also understand the frustration when options are taken way. Any particular reason you don't want to use the app, Daz?

Does anyone else's controller move right slowly on gta 5 while in third person? I bought a new controller but it does the exact same if you tap right on the right thumbstick. I think it's gta 5 itself.

I have gamepass ultimate...and here is my one complaint (that I sure as heck hope is being attended to):

XCloud and Console game saves sync but PC requires the game to be a "play anywhere" title.   

 

If they want to offer the same experience across all platforms then when I play something like FO76 or Outerworlds on my PC it should be the same save I have access to through xcloud and console.  Dig?  

 

 

@JON22 is is a new controller?  I have a drawer full of controllers that developed "drift".

I hate the damn drifting so much!!! I'm still using the same XB1 controller I cot with the console and other than the vibration no longer working, it still functions... except for the god damn drifting. It will drift left all the time and it sometimes struggles to go right. I'd buy a new controller if they didn't still cost 20+ dollars.

Because I dont want to use it as I said.

 

Companion apps are stupid when I have a PC right here.

@trip  Yeah I bought myself a snazzy looking red official controller because the A button on my blue official controller I bought a few years ago had to be pressed harder than usual and made running in third person on gta online annoying as I'd suddenly slow down. Also ruined my speed in the new Tony hawk as I'd suddenly jump even though the button was pressed. My left stick also made turning in gta harder and couldn't really drive the new open wheel cars properly.

 

They both turn the camera right slowly while in third person on gta. Read it's a common problem with Xbox controllers. Other than the drift it works fine.

Checked up the latest Xbox update.

The themes are cool. Give a bit more spice to the profile. Also, they apply to the mini profile you see if you click the guide button or view someone's gamercard.

 

I'm not sure if the store was overhauled with this update or in the past (I don't visit the store hardly ever) But it's much better now. Really clean design and layout.

 

I think it's one of the nicer looking designs in a while.

Does anyone here own Streets of Rogue and if so can they play the game? Only asking because ever since it was last updated to fix an item duplication glitch in the menu for mission rewards, I can't even play the game. It says press A then an infinite black screen. I'm pissed. Haven't been able to play it for over a month. Also the dlc doesn't actually download.

I went to play some Warzone last night, and my Xbox kept dashboarding me and instructed me to make my Xbox "my home console" before it would connect to online play.

 

What the hell is that? Is it a new feature?!

Have they changed any parameters for clips recorded?

 

For the past year all my recent captures get deleted within a very short time, yet all my old stuff is still there. I even went and deleted a load of clips saved to see if it helped. It didnt. And some of those that are still online werent specifically saved in any way different. So I am just losing clips now. My screenshots are fine. But all clips just disappear after like a month. They don't even save locally on the xbox, they just go.

 

How do I stop this sh*t?

I've started to play Xbox One more often and am concerned of potential joystick drift. My controller is out of warranty period already. If it happens will Microsoft replace one anyways? (I read about class action lawsuit stuff on the internet)

Connected the console to a 1280x1024 monitor, everything looks stretched. Is there a way that i can fix this or set the resolution to 1280x720?

 

Also, i can hear the game sound when i plug the samsung headphones in the controller, but not when I connect my speakers to it via the same 3.5 mm jack. Anyway that i can use the speakers?
