There is a system update released to the public today. Looks like it fixed some issues and added an option to mute the console startup sound http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/console/system-update-operating-system

Figured out why I couldn't upload screenshots anymore, had too many of them already there. Unfortunately, if I try to view all clips to wipe them in game DVR it gives me an error code. In other news notifications aren't coming up or are delayed by about 15 seconds, not just me getting it either since friends were also mentioning it.

It used to be easy to find a movie or show on the many apps of Xbox. You just go to search and enter the title, then providers, and it shows all the apps you can watch it on. Easy peasy. Now there's no search feature that I can see. They took a great tool and f*cked it up.

Haven't used my xbox in a good 4-6 months, jumped on it today for a little bit and by god the UI now.. that was a "fun" experience trying to work out all the changes, hah.

Anyone have issues with the 360 store? Almost every time I select "See price" on a game and hit B to go back to the 360 store, the store always crashes and kicks me back to home. I guess Microsoft wants me to see price and buy the game, not go back and browse some more.

Yes, because Microsoft want to destroy your user experience every time you decided not to buy one of their thousands of games on the store

 

So, check your hard drive for corrupt files. You'll see them in your games files and they will have a warning symbol on them.

 

Delete and re-download your profile in case there is corrupt data attached to your profile.

 

Clear your system cache. If it's still not working, remove your hard drive and go on to the store. If it doesn't happen any more you know it's something to do with something on your HD and you might want to format it if possible. If it's still an issue with your HD removed it's must be some other bug on their system. However, it's highly unlikely it's on their end as if it was affecting you, it would be affecting 1000's of others.

That's a decent lineup. I still haven't played the first Forza Horizon 1.

 

That's the type of lineup, I wish they'd do more often. At least AAA games for 360, since there's so many. I just wish they'd throw us a bone for Xbox One AAA games more than a couple times a year. It's always arcade games, and some are good, but most are pretty uninteresting.

Hell yeah! Been meaning to play FH1 on the One for quite a while now. Kinda bummed out since I picked it up a couple of months back, but hooray for backwards compatibility! Here's hoping they get FM4 on it soon.

 

In the meantime I've been playing a bit of FM6. it's actually my first experience with a current gen Forza game. I gotta say I'm quite impressed by it and hyping up for FH3 which comes out next month.

So, I wanted a new Background for my dashboard, so I uploaded the picture I wanted as my wallpaper to my flash drive (which I've used before to get a custom wallpaper) I put it in and had to update media player. Well, I went in, selected my drive and it says there is no media in there? Anyone know how I can fix this?

 

Edit: Turns out, judging by the reviews of the media player app, that this is broken for everyone. So nevermind.

 

I had the same issue after updating the Media Player. I plugged the USB back into my PC, reformatted it & re-downloaded my wallpapers. Plugged it back into my Xbox & it recognized the media. So give that a try

So now that the 'Pro' has been revealed I wonder how Scorpio will defer. If the rumors are any indication, it will be atleast twice the power of the Pro and probably more expansive.

I'm pretty sure Microsoft will make every attempt to redeem themselves, so I doubt the Scorpio will be over $400. They make more money selling Xbox Live and games digitally through their store now, so there's really no need to even milk a profit on the hardware. They've literally hoped on that new customer loyalty culture bandwagon that Amazon has so notably mastered. Amazon makes razor thin profits at the expense of building customer satisfaction, but their revenues continue to increase year over year. On the flip side, Sony has to milk the PlayStation brand, because it's one of the few businesses they have that actually turns a profit. The price increase on PSN is an indication of that.
