Yea, that's too bad because it was on sale for $10.49 or $7.49 if you had Gold. Seems like that deal ended yesterday or the day because as it's now back up to the normal price of $30.

 

 

Digital is the best way to go nowadays, never have to put the disc in.

They also will launch an Xbox Elite version for $200, but the colors don't seem to match.

Anyone in the preview program who uses voice commands via kinect and turned off Cortana: does "xbox on" still work to power everything (tv,xbox,cablebox) up? The warning says something about "active listen" or something like that will no longer work when you switch back to old xbox voice commands.

That's why I was concerned. They mention mic support as a separate thing. Moot point anyway - a few minutes ago I told my wife we can go back to xbox commands and she said "well, I got used to the new way so keep it".

Preview program people who have kinect and did not revert back to Xbox commands: Is it me or is Cortana a bunch more responsive? No more having to wait out that long pause as she waits and trys to complete what you are saying(even if you are done talking). Volume up/down is back to being near instantaneous.

I wanted to try WWE 2k16 while it was free for a few weeks but wasn't able to do so because of the preview program.

 

Haven't played any if those game in years because they became really bland after the first few in the SvR series.

 

Beyond good and Evil is also a really good game. A real classic IMO.

Ooh, Beyond Good and Evil. I've wanted to try it out for quite a while, do I'm not that disappointed with the list. One desirable game out of four is par for the course.

Using a disk for BC is such a pain in the ass. Every time I insert a disk the Blue Ray app opens.

Hummmm...we must have been watching the same channel. I almost turned on my 360 just to play (the only good) Ghost busters game yestateday.

A nicely done video of the GOW Xbox One S console with some behind the scenes footage and explanation of what comes with it. The console has some pretty cool custom sounds for when the console turns on, turns off and when a disc is ejected, that's around the 7:30 mark. It comes out October 7th and will be $449, but you get the GOW 4 Ultimate Edition, 2TB hard drive, exclusive content, and a few packs. $199 for the GOW elite controller.

Rainbow Six Siege is available to install (download for free) now. Apparently it's out to play till Sunday.

 

Just search "rain" in the store search and it pops up. 24.18 GB download.

Interesting on the bit about Win32 game support. On the other hand, I'm hearing a lot of concern from developers that it's also a way for Windows to monopolize games that go from Win32 to UWP. I understand the concern, but Xbox seems to have this new philosophy that the more options there are to gaming, the more beneficial it will be to the industry as a whole. As of right now, UWP is open ecosystem. It's more or less just a concern of trusting Microsoft to do the right thing going forward. Supporting Win32 games in the Xbox app is a small but good indication of that.

Before anyone gets excited about background music, the only app that works with background play right now is 'Cast'. Pandora is supposed to have a new build releasing that supports background play but it isn't out.

Yeah, It's a bit of a bummer with background music right now. Apparently, Pandora, Groove, and Media Player support will be coming soon. Hopefully, within the next week or so, Pandora releases its build that supports background music.

Just downloaded the update. I like that there is reviews in the store now. Also the new my games and apps page is such a step up. Pretty cool update.
