Do you know the correct title of the game? Last night, I easily opened GTA V with "Hey Cortana play Grand Theft Auto 5".

Yep. I tried saying grand theft auto five, halo 5 guardians, and every time it brings up an internet search.

Yep, just double checked that command. Try using the word "play". I just got it to work.

Hey, that worked. I figured with the way they have advertised it that perhaps i wouldnt need specific commands like i did with the kinect. But hey, maybe i expected too much.

 

And if I want to search for anything on the internet, i know how to bring that up.

Does Cortana need Kinect to be used or can you just talk to her via headset?

I hope Cortana will work well with music. Once background music comes out, I can see it being extremely useful for that.

 

I got my update today surprisingly and I can only think of using it to open games as well.

 

Also the new games and apps menu is fantastic. It's about time this thing received a change up.

Oh. My. f*cking. God! The youtube app! Its such a piece of sh*t. Now i cant see the subscriptions on the left side slide.

 

Is anyone else seeing this?

The update installed this morning inbetween my wife waking up and us having to leave for work.

 

We had no idea how to ask Cortana to turn off the TV and such.

No. Subscriptions show just fine for me on the left side slide. I'm not in preview though. Perhaps preview somehow broke the Youtube app?

Picked up a Funko Pop at Gamestop and I complimented the cashier on his Xbox One Overwatch pin. He ended up hooking me up with the whole set for free, made my day.

 

 

I like using Cortana a lot for music on my laptop but not sure I'll get much use out of her on Xbox One though. Still a really cool addition nonetheless.

Pretty good update, but definitely a lot of bugs. Freezes it some sh*t and cursor boxes don't line up on some stuff in the shop.

 

Cortana is great, too. Figuring out how to do things will be a change, but good to get 'turn xbox off' out of the way firstly.

Yeah lots of freezing with this update. And where is the "coming soon" section for games damnit!

 

I had a few Cortana freak outs. Did a "volume up" and it didn't stop. Just kept getting louder and louder u til I dove across the room for the remote. Also had one where the game sound got all quiet and you could just hear that Cortana bing sound over and over in no real rhythm or pattern.

 

I love the new layout for games. I went with medium boxes.

I'll stick to my pug gamerpic. I would gladly pay a few dollars for a black pug prop so I could switch them out every so often. I feel bad that my black pug doesn't get enough xbox exposure.

 

 

And hey...did they stop making the copper controller? I can't seem to find one.

 

The right stick on my controller started drifting so I had to swap out with my other controller (one with a soft A button that I use on my PC). I need a new controller and I want that copper one...dmanit!

 

Or...does anyone know how to solve a drifting analog stick?

If that's the case, you can stick a piece of tape underneath the thumbstick to fix it, but you'll have to open up the controller.
