I get a lot of use from smartglass.

Same, i use my ipad for everything on the Xbox except playing the games and Netflix. Ha. The only thing is I cant listen to voice messages (yet) hopefully that comes soon. Speaking of which can you listen to voice messages on Win10? I still have a Mac. Getting a PC next spring.

IIRC no voice messages. I'm pretty sure it did that thing where it says 'read this message on your xbox one' for voice messages. Weird because I believe you can start and/or participate in XBL parties from Win 10.

 

I could be wrong. Too far away from my PC to confirm. Haha

You can start and participate in partys. When I last tried to do it though it crashed the app. It's still in 'beta'

Man oh man I am going to miss Tales From the Borderlands when it comes to a close. I sure hope they do another set of episodes.

 

And since I'm on the telltale bit. Why have they not redone Back To The Future* for consoles? Heck...even a full on new set of episodes would probably be welcome.

I am gonna miss it too dude. Such awesome characters. Life is Strange too. Some of the best games I've played this whole year, and they both have to come to a close soon. I don't think I'm ready for the emotion.

 

It would be awesome to see Telltale do a Bioshock inspired game. OG one, in rapture before everything happened. Set the tale. Sounds sweet to me.

So pretty much we need to look at $20 games at retailers to predict what games will be coming out later on for Games for Gold. I would say Xbox will stay on the track of one game a month being decent and the other being an indie.

 

^^^Atleast you guys have a physical copy of the game. Not that its worth much or anything. But games like GTAV, Gamestop is still giving $35 to sell it to them, guess how much there giving for a digital version of that game.........$0.......nothing.

I actually brought it digital when MS had that big sell.

 

Most games i'm unsure of, I buy physical and sell it if I don't like it.

Yeah, it happens. I technically bought Assassin's Creed IV on 360, and on Xbone, and they gave it away for free. Same with BioShock Infinite which I bought in December, and was free in January or February.

 

At least Xbox One is getting good games finally. I've never played the definitive edition, and loved the 360 version, so I'm excited.

Any way to check the Xbone download progress without needing to turn on the Xbone?

 

I got downloads going on and don't really want to have to turn it on every time I want to check the download progress.

Humm...I don't think so. I just tried snapping my games and apps. Even tried snapping queue, but it looks like they aren't snappable.

 

I know what you are saying though. Both my 360 and one are wired to my network so I use the blinky blink of my switch to let me know when a download is finished.

I never played Dishonored. Anyone recommend the one that showed up for the One today?

Thought there might be somewhere external to check download progress, perhaps on Xbox.com or Smartglass.

I played Dishonored on the 360 and loved it, I don't know what the difference is with the 360 version and the One, but I enjoyed the story and game itself quite a lot. High 7/10 or 8/10 imo.

I guess that would explain why I found them so similar while playing Dishonored. I mean, I never played BioShock 2 but I played 1 and Infinite, and they look and feel extremely similar to me.

2 was made by a whole different team - Ken Levine wasn't involved.

 

Ken went on record as saying they did a good job.

 

Ken is a weird guy with a cool video game design history and philosophy. We owe a lot to the way he 'saw' video games.
