Screamride demo showed up today. f*ck yeah! Don't go looking for it in that stupid demo hub app...I had to get to it from the store front.

Also...picked up Risk if anyone wants to quietly play me. No lie - last time I played Risk I believe The Jackson 5 were still putting out new albums.

Well Upload Stuido 2.0 is apparently getting rolled through!

There are a ton of new features including a expanding the clip length to 30 minutes, custom intros and kinect green screen just to name a few!

http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2015/02/16/xbox-one-upload-studio-now-lets-you-do-green-screen-tricks-with-just-the-kinect.aspx

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with using these new features as I always enjoys seeing your vids in the Xbox One Activity Feed.

Since i need to keep my headset receiver plugged into my XB1 for it to work can i use an USB adapter that has 3 USB slots?

Also whenever i try and use the Game DVR or Twitch i keep getting an error message telling me the video can't record or it can't broadcast and to try again later.

Anybody else have that issue and know how to fix it?

You probably have the DVR turned off, check your settings. Twitch only works if you have your privacy settings set to 'Adult', which is ridiculous.

Thanks did what you said and you were right, I forgot i turned the DVR off bc it was recording clips every 30 seconds and changing my settings from Customs to Adult fixed the Twitch issue.

Thanks again.

MS just sent me a free game, Joyride Turbo. Don't have Kinect for the 360 so can't bother to play it, anyone want it?

You need the kinect to play it? Goddammit, they sent me one too, and I don't have a friggin' Kinect lol.

Is it easy to get a screenshot? Like, is it fast?

Double tab xbox botton and hit Y to save.

But I still use voice commands, so I'll just be saying "xbox take screenshot".

I'll edit with my sample in a second.

E:

Supper fast and easy. I tried both voice and the double tab xbox Y method.

The proble Is I don't know how to move them somewhere to show them. When I see them in 'my clips' it gives me an error when i hit the save option.

Ee:

Forgot to mention that the f*cking tiles aren't transparent again. What the f*ck? 'Less they moved it to somewhere and I have to go and adjust.

Eee:

Tiles are still transparent. They must have just reset because now there are different levels of transparency to pick from. Neat.

Eeee:

Screen shots can only be used as backgrounds for now. :(

Ok, cool. I watched that video and I gather that it saves the place [in gameplay] exactly when you hit the Xbox button. Is that right?

E: So in a game like GTA online that does not go into a menu when you hit the guide button. It still saves that moment?

I actually made a point to pay attention for any lag. Not sure if it captures at hitting the xbox button or the Y button because I tried for speed between buttons when testing that out. I can say that both of them took the shot where I had wanted.

Finally they allow screeN shots. The quality that gta v gives for pictures is beyond awful.

Good to hear. That was one of my concerns when Spencer showed how screenshots would be taken.

You know what's funny? A lot of folks (me included) have been waiting for this feature. I was just now thinking what is it going to offer? Like, how are we going to use it? I think the videos we already have are great for capturing a moment to share. Are people going to stage still shots in Assassins Creed or something? Is there an area for artistic still shots that [most] games don't already have a built in (sometimes better) camera feature?

Good point. I'm not sure either... But I've been waiting on it too.

I suppose sharing still moments will be easier on social networks. Like the winner board in GTA online.

Screenshots can allow for some good pictures. For example, Infamous Second Son has a photo mode that can be used to take some awesome, beautiful shots due to the graphics and lighting. Shadow of Mordor has one too, but I have not used it. I'd also like to take 3rd person shots of my GTA Online character for example, something that snapmatic on its own cannot do for me.

"Because this new mode doesn’t actually save the photos, it is currently useless on Xbox One. Instead, the mode relies on your console’s ability to save screenshots, so naturally, the feature works only on PS4."

Oh so Shadow of Mordor photo mode is pointless on Xbox One. Awesome.

They still have a lot of work on properly implementing Screenshots. As it currently stands, you can only take a screenshot inside of a game which annoys me as at times I like to show friends, etc a picture of say a store item as I can do on my PS4. I was also very surprised to see that there are no options for sharing screenshots to Twitter.

On the other hand, I do like how we can take a screenshot, then save it as our Home Wallpaper.

The feature is still in beta, so let's wait until they sort this out. It definitely needs some refinement.

Didn't even know there was a dash beta in progress. Shame as I was looking forward to screen capturing. Would of used it most for sharing character creations. Although you can't share them, having them for a background sounds cool too.

Well, stated in that video, once you double-tap the Xbox button it captures it and Y is just to save it.

Xbox One's UI really is absolute trash at times, not functioning properly at all. For example, I tried to exit out of Shadow of Mordor, and then the Xbox would not let me. I decided to try and start Watch Dogs instead but now for some reason the Xbox signed me out, and it will not let me sign back in. I figure just shutting down the Xbox would be a solution, but guess what? The Xbox won't let me shut it down either, so I'm just stuck at the dashboard, and it's all dark because the Xbox recognized that I selected sign-in, but it's not following through with it.

I also have nonsense like this happen to me all the time. Definitely very annoying and frustrating.

Something that has REALLY been annoying me is when you join someones gave from the persons profile, RIGHT when you hit the "Join" button the Xbox One shows you as being in that persons game wether you made it in or not. If you lost connection, couldn't connect or if anything else went wrong, you can't join or be invited back because the Xbox One automatically thinks you made it in the game.

That occurred when I was trying to coop Dead Rising 3 with @Coin. The coop never worked for us, but simply because he was attempting to join my game, it said, "In your game" in the party app. Completely abysmal.

I tried to use the feature on Internet explore to look up an image and set as a screenshot but it seems it only works when using games.

Deadrising is odd when it comes to playing Co-op. Whoever is hosting has to invite the other via the pause menu. Then when accepting the invite, you have to load story mode yourself (or thereself) and somehow that puts you into the game.

It works better if both of you have completed the tutorial (Get to Rhonda's garage the first time)

There so many buggy issues with the UI. I agree. There's times when it's completely unresponsive, but it also creates another issue that bothers me when using the TV app. Since the UI is made up of 3 different OS's, it can't properly mix audio tracks. Therefore, pass-through audio from my cable box to my actual AV Receiver is actually destroyed and remixed through the Xbox using their "Surround Sound" emulator. That's bullsh*t. I paid good money for my receiver, and I expect it to decode my 5.1 properly.

If some of you haven't noticed, the Xbox will even cut out audio when bringing up the snap menu or opening the on-screen keyboard during a game. That's part of the overhanging issue with audio mixing on the console.

The UI has not been optimized at all. Whereas, Sony sacrificed a ton of awesome features like Snap features, TV programming, audio mixing, and extended cache for apps to maintain a responsive UI. So there's a flip-side to using either. But, if MSFT can fix all the bugs in the UI, it will be hands down, the best UI ever made.

Nah, the 360s UI will still be my favorite. X1 is still an inconvenient mess to me that reminds me of my reaction to PS3's after playing 360 for so long.

I think we'll see big changes when Windows 10 arrives. Until then it's pretty much deal with it, I like it for the most part even with its problems.

My Xbox One froze up again but I was able to select Power Off this time. Too bad it's not shutting off though, so going to have to pull the plug on it once more.
