In North America the Microsoft stores are offering a trade in deal for ANY Xbox 360 or PS3 game and giving you a minimum 10 dollars each. And I mean any game. As long as it has the case and is in good condition. Only 5 per customer is the limit tho. I turned in a bunch of dated call of duty games and a madden and even rock band and got Dragon Age for free.

Only catch is it can only be used towards an Xbox one game.

The recomended PC specs for Dying Light have already been released on Steam and we know that the Game will run at 1080p at 30 FPS on both the Xbox One and the PS4.

 

Techland, the developer behind Dying Light has said that the reason they were able to run both the PS4 and Xbox One versions at the same framerates and resolution is because they have been able to utilise the eSRAM in the Xbox One more effectively. This additional eSRAM control, and the performance gains that have come with it, is due to Decembers Xbox One SDK Update.

 

 

 

This is what Techland Lead Game Designer Maciej Binkowski said to GamingBolt;

 

 

“We were using the latest version just prior to the new release that came out on December 12th. In terms of advantages, the main thing is just how much the ESRAM control has improved,”

 

“The new API allows you to do a lot more with the ESRAM, things devs have always wanted to do but were not easily accessible. This together with better tools (PIX) allowed us to really improve performance and tweak ESRAM usage,”

 

 

 

 

With more control over the Xbox One's eSRAM the performance gap between the Xbox One and the PS4 has became narrower, that being said the PS4's extra performance comes in the form of additional GPU cores and faster GDDR5 memory instead of using eSRAM, which requires much more work to properly utilise.

 

Larger Developers will have the time and the expertise to properly Utilise the Xbox One's eSRAM, but smaller less experienced developers will still see the PS4 as a much stronger console. With continued improvement to the Xbox One the performance gap with the PS4 is getting narrower and narrower, the question now is will Sony have a response to this?

In regards to the article above, Microsoft is finally figuring things out on the eSRAM side of things so games will have better alround performance, highier resolutions, and steadier frames per second on games that really need it the most. With Sony having a better track record on sales on consoles and resolution on certain games than the Xbox One, Sony doesn't have to respond to much of anything on this matter. Remember, Sony could one day decide to act on "how can we make our console stronger and better, like Microsoft has done with the Xbox One?" If they do this, the gap just keeps getting bigger, with Sony on the positive end.

 

Microsoft is doing fine and so is Sony. The only problem as gamers I think now is these Hackers taking our game time away by getting Xbox Live and PSN shut down. This is by far the biggest issue in gaming right now. Not lack of games like everyone is complaining about. Look, why you bought a cross/gen game for an outdated Xbox 360 or PS3 is behond me. You have had plenty of time to get the new consoles. So saying there are no games out now for new consoles is very misguided. There are a tone of new games out. Just buy them for the right generation console this time.

Already have it. It came with my console. But it's not a bad deal. I'm probably going to trade my 360 version into gamestop, or wherever, along with GTAV, so I can get a few bucks off of Far Cry 4 or GTAV for Xbox One. I was hoping for a sale on either of those, but I've seen nothing in stores.

 

Games with Gold also have LEGO Marvel Superheroes for $10. Might have to pick that up.

Do you guys think its even worth selling a Day One Edition Xbox One controller that has never been used still in wrapping? I can't think its worth much more than what a new one costs anyways. Just thought I would get some opinions.

Aby, get a kinect and embrace voice nav. It makes the dashboard nearly moot.

 

Darth...yeah, do what it takes to get FC4. That game has been sucking hours of my life - and it takes a lot for a game to do that to me.

 

Totally gonna snag Marvel Lego. Plyed the demo and enjoyed it.

 

@smitty - keep the controller. You never know when you will need a replacement yourself and it would be convenient to just have one as a backup if/when needed. I had to buy a new controller already because my A button got all soft.

Aesthetically, it isn't really noteworthy different from the normal controller, so I wouldn't expect it to go for anything other than a new controller price anyway.

That's what i was thinking too. Usually I can get a year out of a controller, my launch date X1 controller is still good. Battery is still great too but it won't last forever.

 

I keep hearing guys tearing the material off there left joystick on there PS4 controllers. I have no idea how though. I have never had an issue myself with either X1 or the PS4 controller with this.

Maybe 5 years from now since people who are buying them now aren't looking to collect. Now the Sunset Overdrive bundle will probably be worth coin later on unless microsoft releases a white console. With the prices so low, I doubt it though as so many people have a One now.

Just for the fact it says Day One on it and the d-pad is more chromey looking.

I like it too, especially with the 'original xbox' background I'm using, it's really nice

 

Although I wish they'd allow for reuse of my 360 gamer picture, switched to a One gamer picture without knowing you can't switch back. I had a cool Max Payne one

Honestly, what I did was just sat down for a while and just thought of a couple of words that just sound cool and tried to combine them. It's unique, different you don't have to put dumb characters or numbers in (in case it was "taken"). That's what I did.
