I played all morning - no issue. Just jumped in agai . Connected but it looks lit...only 9 people in the lobby. Just joined a random race - no connection issue. I hope it holds since I want to get some time in after things settle down around my house.

I kind of find it hard to believe consoles were returned during xmas day due to XBL and PSnetwork suffering a short window of ddos. People aren't that impatient. Are stores even open?

 

 

Good news:

Sunset Overdrive is $30 for digital download from MS as part of the daily holiday sales today. Just pickeditup myself. Bonus is I didn't need to download since I still had my free weekend copy installed.

So Xbox LIVE should be completely up and running now. Unfortunately for our PS4 brethren, PSN is still down.

 

I'm just a little ticked off because I wanted to get a red stocking for both my characters, but at least I got it for my Xbox character.

 

Edit: Also, I wanted to update you guys on the Astro A50's I received yesterday. They are super comfortable, the cups lay totally over my ear and don't press on them. That's what used to cause me pain in the past. They're also super durable, and the sound is pretty damn good with no interference. They probably aren't as crisp-sounding as the A40's, but it's a price I'm willing to pay for wireless. The one con about it seems to be that I'm having trouble hearing my own voice in the mic. I wish there was a way to fix this.

• Dead Rising 3
• CoD Ghosts
• Titanfall
• Need For Speed Rivals
• Battlefield 4
• Minecraft
• Forza Horizon 2
• CoD Advanced Warfare
• GTA V
• Far Cry 4

Unfortunately, my hard drive can't hold anymore games but I plan to get an external soon and the next game I plan on getting is probably Battlefield Hardline.

Sucks for them I guess. Honestly that's one of the reasons I jumped ship in the first place. Sony when it comes to getting PSN back online.

 

As for the Astros... Personally I've never really been a fan of wireless headsets, too much bother imo. Speaking of headsets, I got this yesterday:

Just those and a few DLCs and I'm pinned at about 10% free space. Kinda sucks really. 500GB, even by today's standard isn't really that much storage. Especially with game updates that are pushing 1GB or more. Looks like I'll be having fun with some external drives when this generation ends. Slap them in my PC and get some longer Sata cables or just hook them up to the back of the motherboard.

I didn't like it being on standby either, so I changed it energy saving. It pauses it if it's turned off. Just change it to standby until the download is finished

It pauses. If you don't feel safe just turning it off then you can manually pause it and turn the console off.

Parties have been acting quirky since the network issues started. Do a hard reset on the console and see if that fixes it.
