Looks like transparency will finally be coming to the dashboard. Major Nelson was streaming and he accidentally showed off the transparent tiles.

Also, there's information on being able to finally take in-game screenshots like the PS4's share feature, but probably won't happen until January.

Yay on transparent tiles and yay on screenshots.

 

Preview people; did ya'll get the note from MS to accept a new agreement to stay in the preview program? It said to accept it in the preview dashboard app...I didn't see anything to accept when i went to the app.

My wife got us the X1 Assassins Creed bundle for Christmas. I'm pumped, but I've been replaying Sleeping Dogs on the 360 to kill time. 9 more days !!!

So I'm planning on picking up the Assassins Creed Bundle on Friday, and I was wondering, is the mic that comes with the Xbox One similiar to the one for the 360? I'm only going to be using it for about a month, but I was hoping that it'll last long enough lol.

It is. I would say the mic part is better than the 360.

Speaking of mics, I eventually decided on purchasing a set of Astro A50's. I did want a fully wireless set-up, but after complaining to Astro support about their lack of fully wireless chat capabilities, they tried to explain to me that wireless chat quality on Xbox One is highly deteriorated. They were referring to the Turtle Beach 500's, which are 100% wireless, including chat. The Astro A50's audio runs on a 5.8ghz band, which they claim is above most wireless signals to prevent interference. I'm guessing the wireless chat signal runs on a much lower band.

 

In the end, however, my decision was solely based on comfort and durability. Hopefully, Xbox will eventually include chat support through the USB, so that my A50's will be completely wireless. Until then, I'll be using the chat adapter if needed.

I have a pair of Turtle Beach XO sevens. They sound pretty damn good and the chat is crystal clear and the only wire it has is from the headphones to controller. This is one of the moderately priced pairs too, I got them for $150 and haven't regretted it at all.

I think that's a fair deal for $150. It's just that I'm already using a pair of Turtle Beach PX21's and the headband is already beginning to show signs of wear. The casing snapped off the headband other day. I finally decided to dish out top dollar.

 

I'll give a review once I get them and use them for a bit. :)

Meh... I'll care about a music app when I can play music in the background rather than having to have an ugly ass bar snapped to the side of the screen.

What we really need is for R* to add Pandora as a radio station. Someone had mentioned that way back before the release of V - might have been moon, might have been otter...I have a bad memory.

 

V was the first time I got to play a GTA game at release since I'm kind of new to the console world. Playing GTA and not having an MP3 radio was nearly painful.

Sigh, just tried and nope you can't unsnap it. That would make it better, but maybe they will enable it to run in the background eventually like Mcsame said.
