Ran this past xbox support biuit naturally they're not too helpful. Figured maybe soeone else has come across it too.

I have a hadset mic issue as does my buddy but with the added effect of our 'Mute' buttons not lighting at all. in the party it says are mics should be working but nothing comes out. We hear others just fine in the party as well as in reg game chat if we switch. Biuit are iunable to speak to anyone regardless of party or game chat.

Edit: Also we've tried the typical standards answers to anything you ask help with microsoft.

We've done multiple hardresets, cleaned each connection point, checked firm connections of cables and puck and have updated the latest controller firmware and have fresh batteries.

The only other thing I can think of doing is trying the headset on another controller if you have one. Otherwise, it's probably the party system. It's been wonky on xbox one since launch.

see but it just happened to my buddies headset chat too.

It woud seem highly unlikely that two controllers went to pot shortly after the system updates.

What headset are you using? Is it the one that came with the console, or is it 3rd-party? Every headset works differently.

Hoping one of y'all could help me figure this out:

Okay bought my husband an X1...he bought digital day one copy of Destiny and paid for dlc. I played Destiny on his X1 under my account with no issues. Fast forward a few months and he buys me an X1 and game shares Destiny with me. But I can't access any of the dlc or the day 1 extras on my Xbox. And I was going to play Destiny on his Xbox this morning since dlc was released, I wanted to try it out...but, when I go to load up Destiny, it takes me to the store and says it requires purchase of the game. Why is this happening & why can't I access dlc on my Xbox? Is there a way to fix this or am I just screwed and sh*t out of luck? I'm still pretty new to Xbox (coming from PS) & don't have a clue what's going on.

DLC is licensed to the specific account it is originally downloaded on, it's not shared with the game.

As for game sharing, I am not sure how it works specifically since I've never tried to use it. If it's like steam, you may need to "unshare" it before it can be played on the original console. The server may think the game is currently 'loaned out' and will not allow the original console to access it at the same time.

Here's how LIVE with Gold sharing works:

There's two licenses associated with all games and DLC, an account holder's license and a console license. The former allows a player to play his or her games anywhere, including the the DLC. All that person has to do is sign-in with his or her account on any other Xbox, download the game, and then receive full access to their entire library.

However, that same account holder may have a personal console at home in which they'd like others to play his or her games when they're not around. This would be akin to living in a household with physical discs, wherein anyone can sign-in with their account, pop in your game disc and play your games. In order to do this, that account holder needs to set his or her's personal Xbox to their "Home Xbox" via the Settings.

Since you both live in the same household, here's a good set-up. Purchase all of your games/DLC on one account, which I assume would be your husbands account. Then have him sign-in to his account on your Xbox. From there, he then has to set your Xbox as his "Home Xbox". What this does is transfer all of his game licenses to your Xbox in the form of a console license. However, he still retains all rights to those games/DLC because he has the licenses attached to his account in the form of an account holder's license. This allows you to play his games and DLC at anytime with your account on your Xbox.

This method also works the other way. If you personally purchase a game on your account, and he wants to play it, you would then have to sign-in on his Xbox and set it as your "Home Xbox" to make it work the other way. It can only be done between two users, and someone you can trust. By the way, you can also play the same game at the same time, so there's no restrictions to its use. At least not yet. And Microsoft will actually go to lengths in order to help you set it up, so it's not illegal in any way. It's part of the Xbox LIVE Gold Family Sharing plan. You can also do this with a good friend or family member that lives in another household, but again, only between two people.

This is only a taste of what Microsoft wanted to do with DRM, and it's a shame that most of it went down the tubes. There would have been a full breadth of features like digital renting, buying, loaning and selling of games on the marketplace, if only Microsoft had stuck to its original policies and explained it properly to the public. But no, a bunch of little 12 year old's cried about "muh gamestop" on reddit, and totally killed off the idea.

Hope this helps. If you have anymore questions, just ask. I currently use game sharing at the moment.

Yeah the home Xbox feature is bad ass! I get one game and both me and my wife can play the game at the same time on two consoles. I freaking love that feature. It's the reason I have gone 100% digital. No more physical copies. :)

New update for the Twitch app. It's actually pretty darn impressive. I'm definitely going to be using these filtering features, and the game-follow feature.

Wait...what? That's how that works? Because of the rumor of the next Red Dead being co-op heavy I told my wife we'll need another XOne so that we can play co-op. She has a scary sexual obsession with John Marston.

Yep. I have her Xbox as my Home Xbox and just sign in on mine. When I buy something on my account it automatically downloads onto hers and she can play it without me being signed in on hers. Viola, 2 copies of the game.

So I doubt there'll be a PS4 version now. PC and Xbox only imo. Oh well. Another reason to buy an Xbox for me. Loved the first game.

It's only a timed exclusive, Square Enix will publish the PS4 version when the deal ends .

Which could be months after the initial release. Works out in M$' favor.

I'm gonna say anywhere from 6 months to a year on the exclusivity. A year is pretty painful, and any longer than that would be torture.

There's a few Microsoft games that are available on PS, I forget which ones, but Minecraft is a new and recent example.

Sunset Overdrive, for me, is one of the funnest games I've ever played.

So some good news for Microsoft on the sales front. Xbox One sales hit 10 million, and they broke PS4's sales streak with 1.2 million consoles for November. MSFT stock was up today on a market that dropped significantly.

That's because MS is doing more to get their consoles to sell than what Sony has been doing.

Not sure if anyone else had issues with this. I was trying to play a blu ray movie in the X1. A screen popped up that said "Your blu ray player needs an update to play this disc" I couldn't get past this point. So I started searching for solutions on Google of course. I know my X1 has all the up to date updates and such.

Finally I ejected the disc, shut down the blu ray app, reinserted the disc, and low and behold.........it loaded fine. Movie plays like it should. Huge sign of relief.

Just thought I'd throw that out there in case anyone else had the same issue.

So when the hell are we going to get gamerpic packs to download?

I would even settle for a gravitar thing but that won't ever happen because it's user content.

It pisses me off my 360 gp is a tiny f*cking square.

Also it would be nice to have an option to disable people not on your friends list from sending you game invites or even messages.

God damn is it annoying hanging around the tower on Destiny when you are level 30+. Such a spam and stalk fest.

Also we REALLY need a barebones version of the friends list as a snap option. I just want a real basic text list where I can scroll up and down my friends and hit a hotkey to invite people to a party or game or join people's parties and games. You know LIKE WHAT WE HAD F*CKING YEARS AGO ON THE 360.

I am sorry but the importance and speed should go to gaming related stuff first. f*ck off if your nutflicks loads up slow. I need to be able to invite f*ckers to games and join parties without being f*cking killed in the game I am playing.

From what I remember, custom gamerpics didn't come out for the 360 until about a year to two years later. I'm sure they're working on it.

Also, if you say "Snap Friends", it comes right up, but you need a Kinect of course. Also, I'm not so sure if gamerpics cause any delay in displaying your friends, but yeah, an improvement on responsiveness would be nice.

Now that they've improved snap I really don't think getting to your friends list takes more than 2 seconds longer than the 360 it's not really an issue. They should give you the option to set different apps to different d pad commands when you double tap but hopefully that'll come next year.
