My guess is the game isn't completely ready yet. Does anyone know if PS4 has it pre-loaded yet? I don't think they do, but I may be wrong.

I searched a few lead times for bluray discs and some are as short as 5, 3 and 1-day periods. That doesn't include delivery times, but probably means if they did wait until the last minute, they would probably start manufacturing them today or tomorrow at worst. I'm assuming we'll see the digital versions available for pre-load some time this week.

The game has shipped for sure. Games always go gold at least a month before the release date. But day 1 updates are the norm nowadays so after the game prints and ships they can still work on it.

 

Sites were talking about pre ordering on PSN a month ago. You get an extra $300,000 GTA$ for preordering on PSN, but not a word on Xbox one version. It makes me think it has something to do with the PS exclusivity sh*t. Like Destiny where Microsoft couldn't advertise the game on Xbox One.

Once it's in the back of stores, you'll know as thats normally when it starts leaking.

So I guess this either confirms my suspicions, or that Rockstar waiting until the last minute to ship in order to prevent leaks and early copies.

Not being able to just Pre-Order GTA V on Xbox One is worrying me. I understand that it is too early for pre-loading but I don't see why we can't pre-order it when we can currently pre-order games that are releasing in 2015+.

So here's an interesting story... So I've got this small USB flash drive, about 3 years old now, and I'm wanting to read something but I also want to catch up on some videos that I had sitting on my HDD. So I though I'd actually put the media player to good use and play the videos on there while reading on here. Like any normal person I put those videos onto the USB drive and plugged it into the back of the Xbox. The LED wasn't flashing.

 

After a few seconds I reached down to get the drive thinking I put it in the wrong slot but it was plugged in above my Mixamp (which is where the other USB connector is) and lets put it like this, I never felt anything as hot as this apart from my old iPod, which overheated. So basically the Xbox destroyed my USB stick. Luckily there wasn't anything important on there. It's safe to say that'll be the last time I plug a USB stick in the back of it.

I don't blame you! That f*cked up. I have a 8 gig usb that's about 3 years old that I plugged into the side and it worked fine but now after hearing that I don't want to plug it anymore.

Ok, so I found some confirmation that the game has gone gold. I found this on reddit. So I'm guessing nothing has shipped yet. Rockstar just seems to always wait until the last minute.

So my question is do you guys think it's the right time now to get a xbone because I was holding out on not buying one because I wanted to wait until there was a decent amount of games out and any major bugs and issues were handled.

Yeah, now is a good time. Because the $50 price drop is a limited time only, then $150 trade in and you can get a One for $200. There are tons of games coming out this month so now is definitely a good time.

What a pile of horse sh*t. Honestly, they need to stop doing this. I'm surprised, considering Take Two and Rockstar's headquarters is in NYC. Hopefully it changes as it did with COD:AW.

If you change your location you don't get earlier access do you? Would changing your location to say, London let you in 5 hours early? I know that worked on the 360 when games would get a US release sometimes a full week before the UK
