Yes, at my local Gamestop. It was still unresponsive to certain movements. Like the old one. It doesn't twitch as much and it's smooth. But it sometimes doesn't recognize I'm there. Plus the voice commands are screwy.

I use gamefly majority of the time, unless I know I'm going to play the game for awhile. Then I'd buy it from there, otherwise not.

My local gamestop only seems to hire fat neckbeards that overuse "bro" like a motherf*cker. In the 8 years the store has been there I haven't seen a single employee that didn't fit that description.

I like my local GameStop. I usually buy my games from Amazon, but when I can't wait I go there and I've never had a bad experience there. They do have this one employee that goes on and on, but not much of a bother.

 

There was this one time though at another GameStop where they were assuming I stole a Wii. Earlier in the day a buddy of mine was selling his Wii but it was the console itself, the cables were all jacked up. So I took it off him for $50. Later I go to GameStop and ask if they have cables. I explained the circumstances and they were all "Hurr hurr, where do you buy a Wii without cables?" "That's totally weird." I just f*cking walked out and went to a pawn shop down the street.

The Gamestops near me seem pretty timid when compared to some of the stories I hear/read. I'm a pretty patient person so I can wait for my stuff to arive by mail and avoid the whole retail store experience.

 

Oh and the Metro reduxs that showed up in the X1 store are pretty cool. I'm playing Last Light. I've never played the Metro games and now I feel stupid for playing in the wrong order. D'oh

Feels like September alone is rolling in earlier than normal. Jinkies time flies.

 

I'm on 1409.140826 and whatever they did for voice commands needs to stay right where it is. I haven't had to repeat anything or speak up for a bit now.

 

Side note w/ odd thought;

I had to pick up a new controller - Not really, I probably could have lived with a slightly softer A button.

 

The odd thought portion has to do with me buying a new atari joystick in '79-'80ish. If I recall correctly that joystick cost around $90. Just crazy to think a much more complex controller only cost like $60 today.

Since I'm getting an Xbox One in a few weeks, I was wondering whether or not you can hear ingame audio through the Stereo Headset from Microsoft? I'll be playing games like Outlast and The Walking Dead and I think the experience would be better with a headset.

Apps -> Settings -> System.

3rd item down on the left. Usb your controller to the xbox with the headset pluggged into the controller and hit 'continue'. Takes about a minute.

obviously I've held the 360 one for almost 5 years, putting another controller in my hand is bound to take time.

But as of this writing, I'm finding the control a bit ... bleurgh.

I had to beg my mom to drop the $60 on this when it was released.

(Atari 2600 Donkey Kong) f*ck!!! It only had the first two boards even...

 

Now people bitch about paying $60 for a games that have hours and hours of game play. Don't even tell them that there is future DLC for $10-$20 that extends the game even further....they may rage and claim that they are being ripped off by the game's publisher.

 

How about the phenomenon of complaining about the free games provided these days?
