Chase i had that problem. Go too your settings then power and start up.

Uncheck the wake up xbox option then unplug your kinect then plug it back in

Next turn the wake up option back on.

 

I did that and it worked for me.

Thanks for the tip SolidSnails. I was able to get it fixed just by hard restarting it, but if this happens again I'll give that method a try.

The new update has been great so far. The dashboard seems to be a little bit faster. The upload app load times have been decreased significantly especially when you have a lot of clips, and the new multiple delete option makes deleting those awful auto-recorded clips easy and quick. As of right now most preview members only have access to about half of the upcoming features. The media app and friends tab will probably be released for testing in a few weeks.

I turned on the X1 last night and I waited for the update but nothing happened. I went to the "update console" and clicked on it but nothing happened. Not sure if the updates download if your console is off or not. Is there a section you can check to see if it downloaded? I will try again tonight and see what happens.

 

edit : I found on Microsofts website all the update version numbers and such. I can just check when I go home to find out.

My mates xbone won't recognise his voice. It does mine, and even more so when i put on an american accent.

If i got one, I'd shut it down overnight anyway. I don't want it left on at all if i'm not playing it. Plus i turn the plug sockets off, so that feature's pointless. Plus it uses power while off, so again, no for me.

Gaming is very popular. Cloud gaming where remote servers perform game execution and rendering on behalf of thin clients that simply send input and display output frames promises any device the ability to play any game any time. Unfortunately, the reality is that wide-area network latencies are often prohibitive; cellular, Wi-Fi and even wired residential end host round trip times (RTTs) can exceed 100ms, a threshold above which many gamers tend to deem responsiveness unacceptable.

 

In this paper, we present DeLorean, a speculative execution system for mobile cloud gaming that is able to mask up to 250ms of network latency. DeLorean produces speculative rendered frames of future possible outcomes, delivering them to the client one entire RTT ahead of time; clients perceive no latency. To achieve this, DeLorean combines: 1) future input prediction; 2) state space subsampling and time shifting; 3) misprediction compensation; and 4) bandwidth compression.

 

To evaluate the prediction and speculation techniques in DeLorean, we use two high quality, commerciallyreleased games: a twitch-based first person shooter, Doom 3, and an action role playing game, Fable 3. Through user studies and performance benchmarks, we find that players overwhelmingly prefer DeLorean to traditional thin-client gaming where the network RTT is fully visible, and that DeLorean successfully mimics playing across a low-latency network.

Just purchased an Xbox One

Should be arriving tomorrow! Got it with Call Of Duty Ghosts, because the UK store Game were offering the cheapest deals, but Ghosts was the only game that appealed to me. I could of got the white one, but I'm not all that fond.

 

Also bought a Turtle Beach XO Seven headset, and a new TV. I bought a 22" Samsung UE22H5000 I got it 22" so it can sit on my desk next to my PC monitor, and I can do everything I love without leaving my chair

 

Tomorrow is going to be an epic day when it all arrives.

Haha. My Xbox seems to be doing fine now after I invited a priest over to cast the demons out of it. It also has quit levitating on it's own, which honestly scared the sh*t out of me, because I'd wake up in the middle of the night and the Xbox would be levitating over me making the weirdest noises. I think at one point it said "I'm going to kill you". Now it seems to be working like it should and it hasn't made anymore attempts to kill me in my sleep

But yeah, got the Xbox One Smartglass app on my phone.. it's awesome. Can watch game clips and all that while taking a #2 now.

Yeah, smartglass for the One is actually totally useful. GW - you should get a tablet, because it is even better when you can use a large screen.

 

I played around with the preview Media player. Good stuff...can't wait until it supports network shares since I keep a large stock of movies and music on a large NAS device here in the house.

My Madden unlocks tomorrow if anyone wants to try out the online play...I'm game.

Yeah, I just bought a $100 Nextbook tablet (android) a week or so ago and only used it once but it was basically free, I had a $100 gift card for Wal-Mart I got some time ago and decided to use it when it was tax-free bc of school. Can't beat it.. but I'll probably do that, put the app on there and use it whenever I have nothing else better to do.

 

I haven't played a Madden game in ages, I used to love it but I never had any friends that played it and playing by myself got old. Though the only sports games I really buy these days is either NASCAR or Tiger Woods and I haven't even bought TW in some time. I hope they get ready to bring Tiger over to next gen.. can't wait to see that glory on the new hardware. EA didn't drop their endorsement with TW I don't think.. or maybe they have, I don't know.

 

I also seen the NHL demo is out on One now.. wonder if it's any good? I liked older hockey games because you could fight and all.. that was the most exciting part for me.. other than that, really really repetitive, same for Madden. What's this My Madden thing though?

Yeah, UFC gets terribly boring for me as well. Same ol punches and grappling moves over and over. Sports games to me aren't what they used to be when I was younger or a kid. That's why I'm more in FPS MP games and RPG games.. because after awhile, it can get boring but it takes a while for it to happen, atleast for me. Even GTA V has gotten boring for me, I haven't played it since the July 4th DLC, so nearly 2mos.

 

Anyways, trip, I just installed Smartglass on the tablet, you were right.. even better man. I felt like I was holding a mini-tv and xbox at the same time. My legs literally fell asleep, I sat on the toilet so long.

I remember those Tiger Woods days. I wonder if they still have the heartbeat after the shot when its really close to the hole? I remember the fictional courses were amazing most of the time. I kinda miss those games at times. But talk about a grind game. That one is for sure.

I hate golf but love video game golf...all the way back to links386 and beyond.

 

You know what I enjoyed most about the last Tiger Woods installment? Kinect. No lie. It was the only game that I used the 360 kinect for. I was half shocked when I got Powerstar golf for the one and it wasn't a kinect game.

 

 

I believe EA dropped Tiger and the next installment still is unnamed.

Yeah, they had the heartbeat, esmitty. I remember getting so f*cking amazing at putting on that game man.. I could sink 40, 50yd putts like they were nothing. I had all the courses memorized and the sweet spots..

 

Trip, I recall my first golf game ever, was PGA Tour Golf on the SEGA.. ever play that one?

 

 

But since they dropped Tiger, I would imagine they'll go back to something like that, PGA Tour .. sad but oh well, it will be the same as any other Tiger game, just minus the Tiger.

Check out where you will be able to play on the Paracel Storm map from BF4 lol, that's awesome. This may look good and play awesome with the Frostbite 3 engine, I'm interested.
