Don't see that being the case as Alan Wake remained a permanent exclusive, so why should the studio's next game be any different?

Before RDR was announced I didn't even knew what an xbox or ps3 were (all I played was on PSP and PC)

Alan Wake was the reason why I bought an Xbox instead of a ps3 and probably, Quantum Break will be the reason why I will buy an Xbone instead of a PS4.

This just shows how much respect and passion I have for Remedy Games.

I'm down.. we'll have to get patents and all that sh*t.. however, we can make a sh*tty version of one and take it to possible investors that will fund and back it and send it off to engineer specialists.. we'd be pretty f*cking rich I'm sure.

My point and your point are two different points.

 

It's not the easiest thing for me to explain but this part might help.

 

Exclusive= On one console and another platform owned or connected with the company. E.G. Xbox and Windows, PSX and PS portable/vita, Wii and WiiU

[insert console here] exclusive= Only on the console stated

Multi platform game= On at least 2 consoles and a non console platform (Windows, OS x, ect...)

[Platform] exclusive= Only on the platform stated

Yeah, that controller looks really nice. I would buy one to just collect it, or in case I need to replace my original.

It's always best to have a back up controller. I bought one not long ago.. I'm known to get pissed and squeeze my controllers and after awhile they'll just go to sh*t or buttons stop functioning.

 

I'd like to see some more customization options out there for controllers though. It would be a huge hit and such a big seller if they did that. Perhaps 'do it yourself' kits or something. I know a lot of people customized their 360 controllers.. don't see why MS and other after market companies can't jump into the scene and release sh*t. I'd be one of their biggest customers if they did.

Already stated this in another topic, but the fact that Microsoft only paid for a TIMED exclusive for Tomb Raider pisses me off. Either use all that money either for a brand new IP or use that money to acquire and own the IP. Don't waste all that money just for a timed exclusive. Because that isn't going to help console sales. People are going to just wait for the timed exclusive to expire and the game to come out for other systems. Then I'm sure the stupid Sony fanboys will thank the Xbox users for "beta testing" the game for them. Microsoft needs to spend money on LEGIT exclusives. THAT will help with console sales. Not timed exclusives... ugh!

Phil Spencer gets a thumb down for me in this situation. Just not a smart financial move. That money could have been used for better things...

Console's only been out a hand full of months not even a year, though we are getting close. Remember, this is a marathon not a sprint. With the Xbox One lagging behind the PS4 by so much I think soon enough we'll be riding the gravy train on biscuit wheels.

 

They need to focus in. My wish list for what they should do.

 

Acquire Remedy: More games with great story telling and don't rush them for sequal after sequal.

 

Let RARE do their thing or simply relaunch all those IPs that they own: The games under RARE don't even need marketing, system sellers on name alone.

 

Less timed exclusives: self explanatory imo

 

Moar First party content: Bring back games from the OG Xbox era. Even if its remasters, test the waters and see what bites and relaunch whatever is most popular.

Xbox One doesn't need to worry about sales. On it's release, it sold more than one million units in under 24 hours. Which beat Xbox 360's release day records. With more games coming this holiday and next year, people will come storming in buying One's just to finally make the transition into the next generation.

 

I think Nintendo need to open their doors and allow their games to be multi-platform. Can you imagine playing some Super Smash Bros. on your Xbox with your pals or on XBL? I just can't find myself purchasing a Wii U just to play like one game. I have the original Wii, that I got for free and I haven't turned that thing on in a hot minute. Nintendo sales would boom, maybe not their consoles but atleast their name will continue to live on.. because I never read up on Nintendo any more.. and it's sad to me. Growing up with Nintendo for most of my childhood and early teen years to now it's like who the hell is Nintendo?

 

Probably won't ever happen but it's still cool to think about.

Also, not cheap, but Scuf controllers are the best controllers for FPS games. Aside from aesthetics, they have two paddles on the back, hair-trigger stops, domed and concave stick options, and extra grip. I had one for the 360 and I could not play an FPS without it. They're high quality and come with a ton of customization options. Approved by all MLG competitive leagues.
