So does the XONE have any real advantages over the PS4 at this point?

 

The X1 has better exclusive games imo. I have a PS4, but I enjoy Forza 5, Powerstar Golf, Dead Rising 3, Titanfall, and Killer Instinct better than anything out on the ps4 currently. I actually enjoy Ryse more than Killzone, although im probably in the minority in that one. I haven't turned my PS4 on in weeks. That will change though when The Show comes out.

 

The snap feature is pretty cool too imo. It's great being able to snap NFL or NBA to the side of the screen while I mess around on Powerstar Golf.

 

Yeah the games right now on XB1 are way better. But I kind of want to get A PS4 because of The Show but Im still on the fence.

And to add to the ZB, even if I think people don't need to hear me bring up the whole voice commands thing but... Being able to voice switch between game playing and TV watching in an instant is a pretty nice luxury. I honestly don't think people understand what that is until they live it.

 

Yep. Everyone that hasn't tried the new Kinect go off the first one and think it's still terrible. Now that the Xbox is designed around it you can see how amazing it is.

f*ck kinect, I like the look of sunset overdrive it's probably my 2nd most anticipated game this year, quantum break could be good, if its anything like max payne i'll be happy and as always I'm looking forward to the next halo. I've heard people were excited about the show for ps4 then I googled it and seen its a baseball game, theres not any ps4 exclusives that look good to me right now but i'll wait till after E3 to see whats announced before I buy a new console.

I've thought about gamefly, but I think I'm too sporadic with my available game time and whatnot for it to really pay off. I also have a weird habit of replaying though opening sequences of games and I think I would miss that.

 

Go with one game $16 a month, not bad even if you play on the weekends.

Because I don't use voice controls or play xbox very much, I don't use motion controls or even have enough space to play a kinect game in my house, I don't like any kinect games and I probably never will, one of the only reasons a lot of people say its good is because of voice commands but they could of easily made that work with your mic, and lastly its the price, i don't have a lot of money and I don't want to pay for something I won't use I would much rather they add a game instead of the kinect.

They did(titanfall or forza 5), and took $50 off the price, therefore cheaper than the ps4.

That's one of the main improvements on the Kinect, you're able to use it smaller rooms compared to the first one. Its really cool, walking into your room or whatever and say "Xbox On". Then using your hands to minimize apps. I feel like I'm using the tech Tony Stark uses in his lab in the Ironman films, minus the holograms of course.

 

I would pay money for a Jarvis pack. "Jarvis, time to wake up" "Jarvis, Battlefield 4." "Jarvis, snap Internet Explorer."

Honest...the world can just screw kinect when it comes to gaming, both motion and voice. But when it comes to the more mundane use of just acting as a remote and base navigation device it is worth twice the price. Being able to walk in after a long crazy day and say "xbox on" while you are multitasking all that sh*t you do when you first get home is like living in the future. I don't want to have to find a remote, turn on my cable box, turn on my tv and sh*t.

 

No lie - my dogs are now conditioned to the phrase "xbox turn off...yes" at the end of the night. The second that happens they run up the stairs to the bedroom.

 

The luxury of playing a game and saying "xbox watch tv", and having it instantly switch to TV - watch TV for a few hours and then say "Xbox goto -insert game you were playing-" and it instantly switch back to where you initially paused the game is actually crazy useful.

In America, but where I am there is only a titanfall bundle or a bundle with no games and they both cost $600.

Yo hornets, I just thought of something good the kinect should do, it should have a feature that scans you for games where you make your own character and use your face while playing, it would be a lot funner playing as myself in gta online running around slaughtering fiends or doing cool sh*t in skate 4 with bmx's (ea please mae skate 4 with bmx's)

I think it can do that for your avatar. I remember back when I used to play Vegas 2, I used to scan funny pics for my game character using the Xbox live camera.

Tiger Woods was like that. You took multiple pictures of your face at different angles and sent it to EA. They would make your characters face real close to yours. Was kind of a nice gesture. But believe me, they haven't had many since.

And Fight Night. You don't even need a Kinect for that, either use a camera from your phone or literally a camera, using a USB and connecting it to your console or additionally you can use your PS eye or Kinect. It's just a gimmick. Most games don't even do this and it has no purpose.

Yeah EA did the face thing for Madden 13(or whatever). It doesn't look like they did it for Madden 25. It was the upload your pic via their web site - no kinect or PS eye.

 

I saw a commercial for kinect Sports Rivals and it looks like it might make your player avatar based on your real appearance. At least that is what the commercial made it look like...and commercials never lie or deceive.

I think the xbox was rushed because the ps4 so maybe it just wasn't ready.

Both consoles were rushed. That's why there's been, what, at least 3 patches each? PS4's just finally getting rid of whatever doesn't allow people to record or something like that (Forgot what it was called)

MS was surprised that the PS4 was announced. Same with the specs. At first the PS4 was thought to have 4GB of GDDR5 instead of 8, so MS used 8GB of regular system memory instead of graphics memory like Sony.
