In US, PS4 sales is around 2.4 million units. XB1 is around 1.4-1.7 millions units sold. (M$ refuses to reveal the number of units sold in the U.S)

Don't understand why there is so much hate for this console. If you go on ANY article where it talks about the Xbox One, PS4, or both, the top rated comments will be idiots bashing the Xbox One. I am not a fanboy. I am unsure on which console I will be getting. It might end up being the PS4 or maybe even both.

But, I just can't stand people bashing this console so much. I'm just tired of people saying the same negative facts about it too. Get a life. Why can't people just be happy for each other that we have awesome consoles to play?

I think it goes back all the way to the reveal when Microsoft wanted to introduce that DRM thing and everyone started hating them. You know what they say, first impressions are hard to forget and Microsoft made quite a horrible one. Anyway, I hope one day to own both the X1 and PS4 like how I own the PS3 and 360 now.

I got the preview of the March update today. Seems cool. The friends list changes are nice. It also seems to have fixed the issue of the 'black screen' when returning to the home screen from a game.

There is an 'update controller' feature that I haven't tried yet because it requires you to connect the controller to the Xbox via USB and I was too lazy to dig out a USB cable. I'm curious as to what it does though.

TBH the frame rate is quite an issue for me with some games. Makes my eyes go funny. Not bothered about 120+ or anything crazy, but GTA IV and V at 30 fps I find iritating. around 60 fps though and I have no problem.

Quick story:

I owned a NES and never got a chance to play because it was always dominated by my girlfriend. I owned a Sega Saturn and never got a chance to play because it was always dominated by my girlfriend. I've always been more of a PC gamer anyway. Well...I shared a PC with my girlfriend and she dominated that too. That girlfriend was heavy into Wolfenstein3D.

 

Those were all the same girl and we eventually married. Anyway...long(er) story short; She is retired from big AAA titles and the like because of her game addiction issues. Honest to goodness.

 

Now here is the problem; She has made some odd remarks lately when it comes to console gaming.

 

1080/60 for Wolfenstein aside, just the Wolfenstein release might put me back to 1990whatever with a chick who has taken over my game console.

Frame Rate is important in games.

 

Go play a game like Battlefield in 30 FPS then try 60 FPS. There's a reason why 60 FPS should be the new standpoint in gaming.

 

If the Xbox One would of done 720p and 60 FPS with all their games than I could understand why they chose to do that.

So, I'm telling you that MOST people won't care if the Kinect is looking at people, since they are not doing anything illegal. This whole MS is in cahoots and spying on you thing is so tiring. It isn't happening. If you want to worry about spying take a look at the alarm companies that offer camera surveillance. Honestly, I would much rather have an NSA agent who is trained in counter terrorism access anything of mine over some high school drop out who got a job monitoring sh*t at ADT or one of those other private companies.

ok...instead of me just bitching. The March update preview updated again today. I haven't had a chance to poke around and see what changed. I did try "xbox broadcast" to see if maybe the twitch stuff is ready ahead of time, but no go - it just took me out of my game and into the main twitch interface.

1. Giving people information about something is not an insult. And it's not like I can say anything nice about the damn thing anyway. Except that the controller looks cool. Everything else is bad. Really bad.

2. People don't have to do anything illegal to get into trouble. All they have to do is do or say something that the government doesn't like. There is a million ways that the information they collect can be used against you. But this is besides the point. Your right to privacy is being violanted. I was on the team responsible for the first wave of public (police)surveillance cameras for this city. There are so many federal laws with how municipalities can handle public surveillance it is crazy.

 

I will physically eat a live crow in front of you when the first case of kinect footage is used to prosecute someone.

I didn't say that it will be used to prosecute. But it will be abused. But now because of your promise I want to see that happen. And if it happens, I expect live feed. Of the video I mean.

I have no complaints. I love the full on integration with the TV and cable box. I can no longer live without voice commands and instant switching between everything.

 

Like I said...no complaint when it comes to my first Gen X1
