My kinect is doing my head in. Everytime I say 'Xbox, record that', it keeps coming up with a pop up message saying 'Sorry, cannot go back from here' even though I said nothing of the sorts. It doesn't understand those words no matter how posh or how f*cking clear I say it. #rant

I think the trick is to just talk normal. I always want to enunciate 'go to' but it seems happier when I say 'go da'.

I saw that list today. Those are some well needed changes. They said there were some other changes but they didn't want to say yet.

 

You know what they need to change IMO? The clock on the bottom right of the dashboard screen!!! For some stupid ass reason it fades away after a few seconds. There is no reason it needs to fade away.

 

 

Funny side story:

I'm trying to figure out what triggers this but sometimes when I'm playing with my dogs the xbox hears something and changes the tv to Univision(one of the US Spanish only channels).

True, but at least there's a battery indicator.

The following are the games where there is a difference in resolution and FPS. The first numbers are from Xbox One and then the second are numbers from the PS4.

AC4 - 900p/30 FPS - 1080p/30 FPS (with patch)
Battlefield 4 - 720p/60 FPS - 900p/60 FPS

COD: Ghosts - 720p/60 FPS - 1080p/60 FPS (with patch)

MGS V - 720p/60 FPS - 1080p/60 FPS
The Witcher 3 - 720p/30 FPS - 900/1080p(still unsure)/30 FPS
Thief - 900p/30 FPS - 1080p/30 FPS
Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition - 1080p/30 FPS, 900p/30 FPS (during cutscenes) - 1080p/60 FPS
Watch Dogs - 900p/30 FPS - 1080p/30 FPS

 

As of right now, 8 PS4 games have a better resolution and/or FPS than the Xbox One version of the game. The only games that aren't running at 1080p on the PS4 is Battlefield 4 and possibly The Witcher 3.

... I say what I've said so many times before .. when defending PS3's "bad graphics"...

 

When playing, you won't even notice anything!

 

I never noticed the "fussy" graphics in GTA IV or Red Dead Redempiton.

You will not have the time to wonder how "bad your MGS looks compared to PS4's" when you are playing.

So worry less, enjoy more.

When I need to pause a movie I just say "Xbox pause" - "Xbox play" when I need to unpause. A remote would take took much of my energy to pick up and hit a button. When I want to watch a particular TV channel I just say "Xbox watch history" or whatever channel I want to watch.

 

A bottom for OneGuide? What is wrong with saying "one guide"?

 

I'm so confused.

any game that will be released for 360/PS3 as well, will look better on the PS4 if it is not an XBOX exclusive.

 

this breaks my heart. Stop making NOW gen capable games nerfed for old consoles. or do they make them for old consoles and then see what they can fit in at the end for the new ones? Either way, it's equally lazy for developers and more marketing than it is gaming.

 

plus, I never believe those kinds of pictures online, especially before the game is released... look where that got us with GTA V!

Does anyone think that the Xbox One is going to have the same hardware issues as the 360 did? I love my 360, but I've had to buy it 4 times in a 6.5 year period. The original Xbox suffered from the clock capacitor blowing often and eating up the motherboard, thus ruining the system. Not to mention, to a much lesser extent, the dvd drive issues as well for both systems. So, will history repeat itself again with the Xbox One?

The original Xbox suffered from the clock capacitor blowing often and eating up the motherboard, thus ruining the system. Not to mention, to a much lesser extent, the dvd drive issues as well for both systems. So, will history repeat itself again with the Xbox One?

I don't know i don't hear many problems yet. You also have to be lucky i guess. I got my first xbox 360 at launch and after 3 years it started eating my disks. Then i got the 360 pro and still have it and it's still running without any problems.

It is kind of funny to see the blind hate for kinect. I could care less about any of the motion detection, but I would be mighty pissed if I had to give up voice commands for X1.

 

I have a theory about the lack of love for kinect. I believe people think the kinect 2(Xbox one) is the same as the first kinect gimmick you could get for the 360, and they aren't factoring in the full integration. No lie...if they sold an Xbox one where the kinect was optional...I would spend the extra $100 for the kinect version.

No issues here. I got a three year warranty though. Totally worth it for a piece of mind. Launch consoles should always come with a two to three year minumum warranty. Even if I would have got a PS4, I would have got a warranty as well. Launch consoles always have issues somewhere down the line. But none with my Xbox One.

XB1 is already outselling PS4 in the US so they have no reason to.

 

It's other European countries that are more likely to see similar deals to the UK, where PS4 is giving XB1 a beating.
