Corporations has turned America into a "must have high speed internet" country. They have been planning this for ten plus years. Every employer must have it, hospitals, schools, the everyday office building. The mobile phone companies are even worse. Charging for how much data your using? It should be a flat rate no matter what you use. Also if you use too much data, they slow down your speed. People can blame Microsoft all they want, but in reality, were getting the shaft in all directions.

Don't feel bad. I have sh*t internet too. If MS stayed the course with the X1 having to phone home once a day I wouldn't have bought an X1 as my console entry into nextgen. I actually didn't have internet most of this past weekend.

 

@smitty - and the funny thing is the US lags behind the rest of the world when it comes to broadband access and availability.

My pal works at a game store, and he said a lot of customers have been returning their XboxOnes to the store, demanding their money back!

 

Of course, the store did not give their money back, because the consoles had been used, and because there was nothing wrong with them as such.

 

But the store did take the X1 consoles back as trade-ins.

 

As a result, the store now has a huge pile of second hand XboxOnes, that no one seems to want to buy!

 

My friend told me that if this continues, they will stop accepting xboxones as a trade in items. Because they are fast running out storage space!!!

I still can't f*cking play Dead Rising 3 co-op.
I bought two Xbox Ones so me and a friend could play it co-op.
And to add insult to injury there have been over 20 f*cking gb of patches to DR3 and the co-op still doesn't f*cking work.

Xbox support give no replies for the situation other than "You need Gold to play online." NO SH*T. And CapcomVancouver hasn't gotten back to me since they said they'd take a look at the thread I linked to them.

This may be the worst purchase I have ever made.

IDK why they changed the party system. My xbox360 was on moderate its whole life and it only ever effected me joining 2 out of 10 players every now and then. Xbox one party settings are so strict it couldn't even manage joining partys without the nat on open. and your can't even manage that.

 

Have you got your xbox set to a certain ip on your router?

Can I ask a lazy question while I'm here? Anyone else have their audio settings randomly switch over to 7.1 surround sound? Mine seems to randomly switch from my lame 2 speaker whatever selection to 7.1.

Same here i would like to know! All i know is there's 4 separate ports to open 2 of those ports were already open on my routers so i only had to sort 2 ports out. Gave it a fixed ip address and then entered all my subnetmask and fixed ip's manually into xboxone settings and haven't had an issue since.

As for sound trip as far as i was aware 7.1 was only usable if you had the xbox one connected via fibreoptic audio cable!

Judgement was awful and a kick in the balls for fans. I hated the inclusion of classes in multiplayer and the game felt dumbed down. GoW2 and 3 had great multiplayer and kept me and my friends playing for a long time.

You can adjust the IR delay. Makes a big difference.

Already tried that, slow rec. and fast all was the same. The delay doesn't seem to be with the ir, it triggers to turn but it takes the vide/audio that long to show up.

I've been planning on getting an Xbox One atleast by May, but with all these rumors I've been hearing lately I'm really starting to wonder should I update so soon? One of my biggest concerns is with the recently released Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition running at only 30fps on the Xbox One. I was really disappointed at the fact that it run that way and I'm wondering if other games will be set to run at a lower frame rate as well. For those that own an Xbox One how has your experience been with the Xbox One thus far, and would you recommend updating now or waiting a little while?

I don't own any next gen console but I suggest waiting for a bit. Both consoles are a bit too expensive and there are too few games out now. This christmas should be a good time to pick one up, if your willing to wait.

I'd seriously wait for now the trouble is lack of games. I think the next ones worth a look are out in march or may but the selection at the moment isn't great. By the looks of it you will get a smooth experience on xbox one about 98% of the time on average with frame drops of 6 fps and according to the ps4's average fps you will have roughly an 80 % smooth expereince with frame drops upto 30 fps at some points.

 

But that's just going by the figures released and not actually having hands on with the game in question.
