I've Remember before Gta v came out this forum was full of people and around 100 new threads everyday, yes many if them was sh*t posts but i miss that time. So where is the hype gone? There was more hype during the initial announcement of the game and now there's nothing to talk about. Wait until a trailer and previews. 3. The hype has been mainly contained in one 'General Chat' topic and the policy against these '100 threads/day' are harsh. 4. The game is definitely receiving more hype in other places. It was trending on Twitter when R* posted the recent date announcement. People are now more active on Twitter and social media outlets compared to 5 years ago. Forums are generally on decline and even r/RedDeadRedemption on Reddit has received more posts regarding the new announcement. 5. Oh wait, Grand Theft Auto is and will still be more popular than a Western-themed game called Red Dead Redemption, whether on this forum or anywhere else. Interesting hypothesis but sadly it couldn't be further from the truth. The vast majority of people are still just as primitive as our forefathers who lived 10.000 years ago. Sure, the cultures have somewhat changed and they now have digitized screens in front of their eyes but evolving away from futile discussions is something that most of humanity is simply incapable of.
