SA - Hit Squad

I thought you will never update this anymore! Even i edited this and reinforcement in order to add russian and biker myself. I make it more stable by removing gosub(its really confusing to follow gosub route) and make my own chasing script.

hey on the latest version it seems the only hit squads are bikers? either that or my luck is extremely bad since through 2 days of playing ive only ever had biker squads

Here, fixed that for you and ya'll and also merged the bikers hit squad into one script.

Your mods are really good for emergent gameplay. This, combined with Combat Enhancement and Gang Reinforcements is a lot of fun indeed (especially if you remove the warning text). A hit squad rolls up, a brutal firefight ensues but I survive, then before I know it a second squad arrives and almost finishes me off. I finally feel a sense of danger in the game. Really good stuff!

I like how this mod has been scripted so that the enemy gang members are actual enemy gang members, unlike the Ballas in the first mission who are shot at by other Ballas.



Will you ever make scripts for spies stalking players or streetbcriminals trying to attack players on foot?

 

How about adding more diversity by letting gangs use their other vehicles and even motorcycles or vans?

 

Why is the original game's hit squad not used in this mod? How about adding them and more variations? How do you know that drug dealers aren't enemies who may get hit squads against you?

 

Do you think you can make a script that gives everyone their own wanted levels (unlike the cop defense scripts that glitch or crash the game)? This would improve the hit squad experience because it means that cops could help by fighting the hit squad.

 

Why not have hit squads use some less conventional methods like snipers, helicopters (as seen on Reuniting the Families), and impersonators of emergency services? It would add more suspense, surprise, and immersion.

 

For any future scripts, how about a Securicar robbery system where backup units from Chuff Security respond to protect the shipments? Of course, it would be great to allow a variety of strategies and outcomes for stealing the money and possibly avoiding being attacked by guards and cops. Maybe run it on a response timer where guards respond as soon as there is an abnormality but take a while to arrive?

If you believe that my ideas in the spoilers are really amazing but too complex, specific, or wild to actually be made, I actually agree and decided to post them for that reason. Even if you find yourself unable to consider any of my requests in the spoiler, I still appreciate your amazing scripts. Your scripts truly improve San Andreas by making it immersive in creative ways. Do you currently have any plans for updates or other scripts?

 

Also, if my game crashes and the crash log mentions "hs", is it supposed to be short for "hit squad"?

Street criminals stalking the player, can be done easily, it's just that it's so petty, that i haven't bothered, but i might just.

 

Diversity on vehicles can be done too, is just that i like to keep things simple, this too, i might just do it.

 

I won't bother with the wanted level stuff, it annoys me having to do stuff with actors as unstable as cops in game.

 

Using Snipers, can be done, but for many reasons i won't, Poor neighbourhoods gangbangers on helicopters? really? inmersive? however, give me some balla's/vagos skins disguised as cops or medics, and i'll think about it.

 

The securicar robbery system, you can experience with this: https://gtaforums.com/forum/326-scripts-plugins/ In the seek and destroy mission, you take on an important vehicle with protection, if you play with my gang reinforcements mod, back up will arrive in the middle of it all, however i do know the difference between destroying an objective and robbing it, so i might just do that too.

First of all, Triads use a Maverick and an Andromada for tactical attacks. Mafia hitmen travel in a Shamal from Liberty City and carry lots of money when hunting you down for being in debt. Drug dealers carry lots of money and the Da Nang Boys have both dominance over cargo ships and boats to patrol those ships. Don't forget these details when making updates or new mods.

 

When I say on-foot criminals, it's to give the impression that whoever sent a hit squad started cheap, thus giving a sense of escalation. When I say spies, I mean the Men in Black because of the things CJ has done for Mike Toreno. Actually, if anybody uses helicopters to attack the player, it would be the Men in Black at the very minimum.

 

Also why do you need special skins for impersonators? The point is that they blend and don't look obvious as a hit squad. Plus, when you rob Caligula's Palace, the Triads (Chinese) turn into (black) cops in order to avoid suspicions when carrying the money away.

 

The sniper idea was simply because of all the assasination missions done in the GTA series with sniper rifles. Don't forget that Vagos have defended their turf with an RPG near the last mission.

 

The sniper/police impersonator ideas are supposed to give an impression of sophisticated and experienced hitmen being hired. How about getting the player attacked by (fake) "members of the Grove Street Families"?

 

Is "hs" short for "Hit Squad"? I see plenty crash logs mentioning "hs" (or a different kind of message when doing several of your side activities from your other mod), and although my game always crashes, the crashes I'm used to will quote either empty quotation marks or mention the first mod according to the alphabetical order.

You are doing a great job with your mods. I still look forward to your work and your previous reply can be considered as a favorable amount of progress. Thanks for all of your time and effort.

The new versions of all my mods, don't usually crash, Hit squad doesn't work on missions, at least this version not, update it, and tell me if it keeps happening.

 

Most likely the helicopter hit squads won't happen, i just don't see myself expanding this that far, damn, not even rockstar did on VCS when this was ACTUALLY in the game, so forget about it.

Also hey, what about importing that aformentioned scarface feature where when you kill a specific drug dealer, there's a chance that a specific hitman gang would try to kill you? Are you gonna implement it in your mod?
