I am thinking about which way rockstar will buff the mk2 in this update, unable to lock on ? Speed glitch is back ? It acts like a closed vehicle and you can't be killed by propellers anymore ?

There already is a speed glitch with the Mk2, and it's faster than the patched one from 2018. Most people just aren't aware of it or can't pull it off.

THE OPPRESSOR IS DEAD BOYS AND GIRLS!

You can no longer call it in from the MC menu, it has a 5 minute cooldown, and you can now lock on to it again with guns!

Edit: You still can request it from MC menu, but it has a 5 minute cooldown.

The MC menu cooldown is a welcome change that will definitely tone down the spam. I was hoping for a complete removal, but this is the next best thing.

However, the noobbike will remain a pretty big problem, at least for freeaim lobbies i.e. the majority of PC platform.

Any MK2 griefer with half a brain will just call in his Terrorbyte before he runs out of rockets, then all he has to do is drive inside and get back out. There is no way the victim can get to the terrorbyte and destroy it before the noob biker does his refill. Things complicate for the griefer if he gets shot down, but good luck shooting down a 'pro' oppressor griefer in freeaim.

It would have been ideal if the countermeasures were removed as well. When he goes to the TB to refill, the victim maybe has enough time to call the mechanic for a vehicle counter like the Stromberg. But since the chaff is still here, there are still 0 ground vehicle (proper) counters to it.

It still has the buffed speed from 1 yr ago, still has countermeasures, still difficult for the rider to fall off on impact.

This looks like a premature celebration to me. I hope I'm wrong.

AA Trailer with flak cannons can destroy the Terrorbyte in about 6 or 8 shots.

 

It can be made to work if the mk2 tryhard has enough braincells to use his TB(most of them don't, so I think this would be a very rare situation anyway).

You dont have enough time to call in your flak cannon. In the time it takes your AA to spawn+the time you need to get in position, he's already riding a fresh bike.

Khanjali is also sucide, never ever get a khanjali to destroy an aware enemy inside a terrorbyte, for obvious reasons.

In a 1v1 situation, ground vs depressor, you are still screwed. Very little has changed.

In the (rare) times when I'm using my depressor agasint ppl on ground that has always been the way I did it (with Terrorbyte refill) because I never play as MC President. And it's very effective.

They (mk2 griefers) may be dumb, but they will adapt eventually.

 

All I'm trying to say is that people get excited too soon for a sub-par "nerf". Technically, it's not even a nerf because nothing has changed as far as the bike itself is concerned, they just closed a disgusting game mechanic abuse.

Sad part is, that game mechanic abuse --the MC menu spawn-- was the only chance MC grinders had in a public session when they were selling cargo and were getting attacked. They don't have any means to hide their cargo. Now, if they lose their MK2 it's game over.

R* FINALLY fixed the bug that wouldnt let you lock on to oppressors, that evens the playing field a buttload in autoaim

I do agree with this but there are other alternatives for mc clubs to take when delivering they could use something that takes alot of damage or possibly the stromberg/deluxo to ake them out once the attackers bike is gone 5 mins is plenty of time for the cargo itself to be as far away as possible from the atracker so by the time they grab their jet pipe your already too far away for them to even catch you  before your crew gets onto them

If you have other (competent) people in your MC when making the sale then it's no problem, unless the attackers outnumber you or outmatch you greatly in the skill department, but this is not new.

If you are solo and trying to sell your coke, meth or whatever else, loss of mk2 oppressor = loss of your cargo.

If you sell alone as MC and you see attacker(s) coming your way, what do you do? You park the sale vehicle and call in your MK2 bike. Nothing else you can do, really, since you cannot hide your cargo. But if the attacker takes you out you have no chance of saving the cargo. Before this update you could call in another oppressor mk2 quick, now you have to rely on opp mk1 because no way your cargo will survive for 5 minutes until you can call in another mk2.

 

The proper solution to the Oppressor MK2 problem would have been the following:

- remove countermeasures from the MK2, everything else remains the way it is (missile tracking, speed etc)

- remove the MK2 entirely from the MC menu

- give the Opp MK1 the same cooldown the CEO Buzzard has (idk how much is that exactly, 2 or 3 minutes)

- give MC's an equivalent to the VIP/CEO Ghost Organization.

This way everybody is happy, grinders no longer rely purely on MK2 to protect their cargo, MK2 follows the same rules as every other vehicle in the game and we can counter it with a number of ground vehicles instead of 0 like it is now.

 

I'm not unhappy with what we got though, don't get me wrong. It's a decent change and, most of all, it proves that even they (R*) acknowledged that the mk2 spam was indeed a problem.

While there's better solutions, let's be thankful they actually did something. Fixes like this always easily re-ignite my interest in playing, after that fire died out because of this very problem.

At first I hated them, now I love them. 

All these ridiculous bitches on their oppressors think they own the place and grief the sh*t outta everyone. 

 

This is hydra 2.0 but worse. 

I took down countless of these pathetic asswipes. 

In ways that piss them of so good. 

 

I'm a free aimer to the heart since GTA IV, but I play GTAO in partial auto aim, cuz of police and actually it is more fun. 

Don't know if it's an unwritten rule but all free aim lobbies I went into, ppl were friendly. 

 

 

However, my k/d includes so many auto aim kills, I wouldn't count them. 

And shooting down oppressor riders with target lock ain't no work of art. 

 

So I created a new char lately. 

Rank sub 40 and I start executive search. 

It was in strawberry Davis, and I landed on the high building in this area. 

Seeing an oppressor ceo with his oppressor bodyguard approaching immediately... 

 

Patrolling in the Area, seeking me, destroying anyone joining the search or passing through. 

But these fools were too stupid to just once check the building I was on. 

 

I scoped the ceo, booom! 

Free aiming that bitch from the building, him in Grove street vicinity. 

 

Of course he was pissed. 

Winning the search and flying around the map. 

Ceo following me, he couldn't let some rank 30 something put him. down like that. 

 

Hate messages followed. Noob. Coward. You name it. 

 

Of course. I don't fight you with honor, I give you a taste of your own meds. 

Can't bullsh*t a bullsh*tter. 

 

I flew so high and his oppressor and me, map icon wise, on same spot. 

Where are you? 

 

Really? Lel! 

 

Executive search cool down gone, I jump out, above the area. 

He now noticing I was way above him, he seeing my heli falling down and following that body falling out until... Didling! 

Executive search started. 

Me invisible on Mini map. 

Taking out oppressor ceo and bodyguard.

I've been cruising around in my Revolter trying to find some people race around the town, and all I've been seeing are Mk2 kiddies blowing up people driving their sports car. Do they genuinely think that makes them good at the game? 

 

Also, how is it fun? Doesn't it boring after a while? It's the holidays, people just want to chill. But no, these plonkers just can't give it a rest. They're always on their hoverstick blowing up everything that moves. 

 

I'm practically forced to remain in passive mode 24/7. Dare I come out of passive mode, there'll be a chump hovering towards me halfway across town to blow me up. All they need to see is a clear blip, and it's war.

I like making money to the point that I still punch the doorman at the Casino and other NPC's just to get their $15 so there's no way I'm going to pay insurance to a child riding an MK2 simply for defending myself so I change sessions often. Also, what's the purpose of spending money on an expensive vehicle and riding around in passive mode if the only thing players see is a transparent ghost. 

 

I used to remember the Buzzard as being the most feared. Now it's useless.

Jack a Harry Potter, fly up to the roof, hover over pool until the guy notices and kicks me..

With my luck the guy will stay in the Casino so I just fly it to the closest roof he can't get to and parachute off. Since it's close to him the Mechanic won't deliver it. The one's that are locked I ram them out onto the highway.

I did this over the ocean and it still charged me for destroying it, is the pool different somehow?

I honestly don't remember it charging me..

This is the latest in my efforts. It takes a while to get used to, but it's quite potent. I've also heard it's easier on PC, so if you play on that it's definitely worth a go. Even on console I've taken down a lot - even made a few ditch their brooms to get their own Deluxos.

I agree with you, every word. Sometimes i think that the MK2 should be considered an aircraft, maybe a lot of things should be resolved.
